Hi G-Fans!
Well, the day was a little dreary at the start, but it picked up considerably as it went along. By mid-morning there was promise in the air for a good daylight walk. Since most people are not home to help the concierge currently, she was planning two walks. But, time ticked away as she worked on some secret projects, and like an hourglass, the sand was steadily running out... Raphael and I were elected for the first walk that got underway later than planned. We were on a two-fold mission. First, leisurely daylight exercise in the fresh air was our primary goal. Secondly, we wanted to retrieve Tessa's orange safety scarf. We found it where we suspected it might have slipped off.... Because of the neon-ness of it we could see it all the way on the other side of the bog as it peeked out of the grass and dried leaves. It looks like Tessa must have stepped on it and released the knot. So, both goals were achieved!
Because one of the unrelated-to-us bog "regulars" were going slow in front of us we took a whole new way home, and there were some points on the way that had Raphael's fur standing on end. He wasn't so keen on a couple of the spots we traipsed upon. The concierge seemed confident enough, and I vaguely remember some of the route from a long time ago.... By the time we returned it was dusk and the other three were looking dicey on what sort of walk they could expect. They did some of the bog and the helper joined in, but they did not have a full bog walk. They did an extra bit of reconnaissance work, but it was a path Raphael and I had already investigated earlier....
On another note.... As of today the concierge no longer has to blow out of the house at an extra early hour for the next few days. That will be nice to have some leisurely mornings. But I hope she doesn't get too lax, I like my routine!
And, on another note.... No Christmas treats today....
But, overall, it was still a good day. Good naps, good walks, good snacks and fed on time. And no cleaning, but I am hearing some nasty words such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping down of things...... I will keep you posted....
I am bracing myself and making a hidden stash of scents so all will not be lost...
So, may you take an unexpected turn of events and make it into an adventure!
TTFN!
May Blessings of the Christmas Spirit be upon you!

P.S. - Update: still no hand-made royal cookies have graced the domicile or my mouth.....!?
Waiting.... tick, tick, tick.....
Yes, I AM waiting for Christmas!
