Trifecta!

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it is another Halloween we have to endure.  It is rather balmy, but drizzly and the goblins have been minimal.  Which means we are more relaxed than in past years.  The concierge seems to be more laid back this year as well.  I guess that everyone is tired from the festivities from the Red Sox winning the World Series at the Fenway.  Big doings and hoopla.  If it were the WORLD series, then shouldn't other countries be involved????  I know I am a dog and all and it isn't PC for me to have an opinion (one of the appeals dogs have to humans), but I am just sayin'!  And I understand there are ballpark dogs that are at the park.  Good for them, I would not want to be in that kind of human crowd, unless, of course, they were admiring me.... like in the past.... again, just sayin'.
Anyhoo, the Halloween window is almost closed and we can get down to snuggle business.  I am not sure if a walk is on the docket because of random teenaged gremlins roaming the streets, but we'll see, I am pretty sure we went last year and it was uneventful.  I will bat my royal lashes to convince the concierge that it is safe to take us out!
Anyway - I included a picture from earlier this evening, during a lull in the trick or treating.  A trifecta of snuggling.  I am not sure why the boys felt they needed to pace while we relaxed, but whatever!
So, may you weather the goblins and gremlins in your life and be confident of their transient nature in your life.

I am NOT a babysitter!

Hi G-Fans!
Well, I want it to be perfectly clear that I am NOT a babysitter.
While the concierge  sips her tea and reads her e-mail at this awful hour of the night, she has the audacity to send me up to the royal chambers to "keep Riley company".  That is code, I can assure you, for "babysit him".
Just because Riley gets impatient when he goes up too early (typical old man syndrome) because he doesn't want to miss his spot.  And then he will come tottering back down (like an old wobbly man) and tries to hurry like he always does, but his legs aren't working like they used to and the concierge likes to walk in front of him to avoid any accidents.
Well, I did go up, trying to be a good sport, waited until, I think, Riley passed out, so then I came back down and I am very miffed.  So I am going to put the whine on, and not let up, until the concierge gets her jammies on and brushes her teeth or she brings me back over where I can keep a better eye on her.  Whichever, but I am NOT a babysitter, and I am NOT going back up to watch over a stinky old man, bff or not!
So, may you stand firm in your convictions in life, not allowing the bullies of the world to deter you.  And may you have the discernment to know when you are standing firm and convicted and when you are being a true butt head and should listen to the reasoning of others.
Puzzle that one out!

Mr. Potter I Presume.....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, all I want to share is that I am glad my name is not Harry Potter.
Even though I wasn't in the room (I was two rooms away) I could hear some pretty unflattering things in reference to Mr. Potter.  Apparently, not for the first time, he has de-stuffed the stuffing from some pillow or puffy blanket and made another mess of the rug that was vacuumed yesterday.  (I didn't mention the vacuuming yesterday because it is in a room of no consequence to me.... just sayin')
I think Mr. P. was escorted to the out of doors prior to the naughty word flinging occurred, but still, the energy was hanging in the air.
He did get his cookie at lunch, but, I think the tone was on the abrupt and sharp side.
Harry apparently doesn't care.... he likes the activity.... it manages his anxiety.
He doesn't like being in the scary room by himself.
(I'm not sure why we call it the scary room, the only thing that happens in that room is yoga and eating, of which we are more than likely invited to attend neither.)
The only reason he is there because he showed attitude to Bertie and Bertie doesn't hang with attitude very graciously.
So, to keep the peace, each boy has their own space when the concierge is working or other wise occupied.
Well, we recorded the mishap and tried to get a mug shot for posterity, but you will see how successful that was....!
So, may you find constructive ways of managing your anxiety and not resort to destructive means to manage it.

OK - It is NOT just me!!

Hi G-Fans!
It is NOT just me that likes to snuggle!
I am starting to notice a trend.
Jack and Izzy checked in today with a picture of them snuggling TODAY!
Which got me to thinking.  It isn't just me and Riley....
I have evidence.
So I have included snuggle-proof....
I think there is more evidence, but I had to stop somewhere!
So, may you let your snuggle flag fly free!  Don't miss an opportunity for a good old fashioned snuggle if you have any options at all!  It does a body good!

Riley and Bertie snuggling....

Snagglepus wanting to "reach out and touch someone".  He really needs to pay attention to those nails of his!

Another angle of snuggle-bliss.

Taken today at Jack and Izzy's place.  Once snugglers, always snugglers....!

Bertie and Gabriella snuggling!

Snuggling isn't limited to just others of the breathing species, this is a stuffed ostrich that is making a good snuggle partner....!  I like it!

Jack and Izzy snuggling as adolescents :)

Bertie and Tessa snuggling with me off to the side....

Tessa and Snagglepus snuggling!

Tessa and Riley keeping it cozy!

Some acceptable brother-snuggling between Harry and Raphael; it is the two inch rule, there needs to be at least two inches of air between brothers and then it is acceptable..... I just made that up!!  (Giggle)

Me and Tessa having a jungle snuggle...!

The Jig is Up!

Hi G-Fans!
The jig is up.
The concierge has supplied irrefutable evidence.  There's no smudging the lines.  No obfuscations of any kind.  It is in technicolor and recorded on different dates.
I will admit it without further ado.
Riley is my Bud.
He is my snuggle partner.
He is my rascally friend.
I like him and I don't mind sharing my space with him.
Enough on that......
We shall move on now....
So, we took a walk on the edge of the day.  We had enough light to do 5/7ths of a full bog walk.  We were all a little jittery after yesterday's encounter with the coyote and with all the upcoming Halloween expectations, so we were particularly spooky on our walk.  We went a little berserk about a leashed black dog who was actually being quite well behaved and who did some "eyes to the sky" with our over-the-top reaction to seeing him on our way home.  I will admit now that we went a little overboard, but with all the talk of coyotes and goblins and ghosts we are all a bit strung out.....
So, the concierge is thoroughly disgusted with us and is being really impatient and irritable.
I can't decide whether to go to the royal chambers and warm up her spot on the bed so it is cozy when she gets up there, or if I should steal an item of interest and rip it to shreds to let her know that I am still the princess-in-charge.  Although destroying something appeals, I am a little tired, and the bed in the royal chambers is pretty comfy, so I may just pass this once in setting the proper tone and choose the warming of the bed spot instead of maiming something like a sponge.
So, May you take the high road when life places you at the crossroads of choices.  Build bridges, don't dig ditches.  (Although a good ditch now again is quite satisfying from a dog's point of view!)

Relaxing on a Sunday night:)

Taken a few days ago, the noise of the camera disturbed me, I DID have my head down and I WAS very relaxed!

A little privacy please!  Does the paparazzi have to follow me EVERYWHERE?  Is there no where I can have privacy?

Some Family Album time..... and reports of other things

Hi G-Fans!
We have had a little excitement around here.
First off the concierge did NOT clean today.... WooHoo!
Secondly she abandoned us midday only to return smelling of those big swishy animals that I would bark my head off if I was anywhere near one.  You know, the horsies.
Then we went on a walk.
Full bog walk.
To be hones I really thought we were going to go to the forest today.  It was sunny, crisp and lovely.
But, I won't complain.
At least we went.
So, we only ran into one person on the walk with a LEASHED DOG!  Tres Remarkable!
We were on the last little bit of the walk and the concierge stopped short.  She waved to her human companion to stop and she pointed.  We all looked.  We looked hard.
Halfway on the path and halfway in the bushes was an animal.
The concierge thought it was a deer at first as that was an area we had seen them in the past.
But, no.
It was clearly not.
I will say that it wasn't a bear, thank goodness.
It was, however a coyote.  We stopped and waited.
We were glad to see that it only stared at us for a little bit before retreating into the cover of the trees and bushes.
A coyote.
yikes.
Raphael barked his head off when we all realized what it was, and RIley decided he was a tough pants and lunged into the bushes a few times.  We all pulled like crazy as we came upon the spot he or she was hanging out at....
sniffing like mad.
The concierge was a little uptight and anxious to drag us through that spot as quickly as possible.  She is aware that any animal could feel threatened and jump us.... or something like that.   At any rate.  We returned without injury or further incident.
So that is it for me today.
That is plenty.
May you 'keep calm and carry on' in the face of possible adversity.

Friday Fright Night.....

Hi G-Fans!
It is Friday night and it is full of fright!
Not much to report other than it is COLD out !
I am in full snuggle mode and I don't care if it is with Riley or the concierge just so long as it is someone who is cozy warm!
I have heard rumblings that there is some cleaning in the future.  I will see what I can do to circumvent that!
I was wondering what people were planning to dress up as for Halloween.,,,,
I am not sure what would be a good costume to answer the door next week.
Maybe I won't answer it at all.  Maybe I will just eat all the candy out of the bowl when the concierge isn't looking and bark like a crazy dog when the little costumed goblins come around I can scare them off.
Hmmm, I guess I will need to rethink that!
Alright, everyone is snoring around me, so I guess I will sign off....
May you have a puffy cozy blanket to wrap yourself in for a rejuvenating snooze over the weekend.

waiting window watchers

Hi G-Fans!
And Sox Fans!
Another exciting night in Bean town!  I may not understand baseball per se, but I speak excitement quite fluently.  There is an electricity to the air.  It vibrates through my hair follicles.
That is like how a whale hears.
There are delicate bones in their ears to help them hear.
It makes my tail wag.
So, amy you hear the small still voice guiding you through your day and may you follow it with confidence.
