Hi G-Fans!
What a sloppy day! We have had snow, rain, snow, rain, and something in between a few times throughout the day.
The concierge did not do a usual Saturday, especially considering the weather. It was the perfect day to sip tea, ensconced with furry bodies to her left and right (on on top of her lap as well). Instead she got everyone situated for the morning and tore out of here with boots and borrowed coats.
Apparently she had a date with a boat repair person and now there is a repaired boat that smells intriguing on our deck for temporary safe keeping.
And, instead of coming straight home in this weather, the concierge thought it prudent to galavant about and have lunch and go to get chocolates. Before returning to let us out and give us treats.
I wouldn't mind so much if it was our kind of sweets she picked up, but we cant' even sample what she picked up.
Figures.
Anyway.
We did do a walk, but it was looking dicey for a bit as there was some afternoon snoozing going on.
I did take advantage of the situation and hugged up close to keep warm.
But, the walk did happen, but we left Riley home again! This time he knew it and didn't sleep through it... he handled it pretty well, and we made it up to him by giving him a walk with myself and Harry afterwards. He just wanted to stretch his legs and sniff for a bit, so no permanent grudge is being held.
On our walk there was a tad bit of excitement.
We were VERY LUCKY it did not have a tragic outcome.
We were just starting the walk and needed to pass a small stretch of sidewalk before crossing over to the path to the bog.
What come barreling down on us but a jogger.
Myself and Harry hotfooted it across the street leaving Bertie, Tessa and Raphael with the concierge. They stepped off the sidewalk into a thin grove of four to five trees. The concierge used the trees to keep Raphael and Bertie managed.
But... wardrobe malfunction! The tree apparently pushed the release on the halter and Raphael was freed from his oppressor!
The good news....
he did not go towards the jogger.
The bad news...
he came straight for us and crossed the street without so much as a nod in either direction.
The best news...
there weren't any vehicles in either direction and each of Harry's concierges grabbed his collar and he was reattached to Bertie and the concierge once the remaining crew crossed over from the other side.
Tragedy averted.
Yikes!
So that was MY day!
How was yours?
May you find yourself surrounded in the safety of Love :)
Or, may you PAWS and look in all directions before proceeding forward......
TTFN!
