Jedi and other things....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, Karma reigns!
I should hope the concierge has learned her lesson!?!
Those rugs that the concierge vacuumed, but didn't have time to steam clean and were waiting for the pads to dry so they could go back down on the floor, were never brought in and now it is raining.  The mist has been coming down all day with occasional bursts of actual drops....  So now those rugs are going to take forever to dry.... I should think it will teach her to leave well enough alone....
Oh, and last night the part of the blog I couldn't remember...?
I think the concierge used a Jedi Mind Trick or Vulcan Mind Meld on me...
Because I remembered today what it was and it turns out that it was something embarrassing about the concierge...
You tell me if a Jedi Mind Trick doesn't make sense.... I mean it is ok for her to announce to the world when we vomit, have diarrhea, pee indiscriminately, and such....
But let me tell people that she needed to carry an air freshener around with her last night and I am in bad form....
Because THAT NOT funny... !?!
Anymore.....!?!??
Really?
All I can say is that I eat poop and I was gagging from the smells being emitted from her direction...
I will say no more since I haven't had my bedtime cookies and I know how far to push it and not jeopardize my treats.... Usually....
Maybe now she will think twice before embarrassing us.... we do appreciate maintaining a certain level of dignity you know....!
Really!
So, may you maintain your dignity flying in the face of all circumstances...!

Paddington and other things...

Hi G-Fans!
Another pretty fabulous day!
Tonight we walked in misty conditions to the school and the mist continues now, but the rest of the day was lovely.  I know, since when do I refer to things as "lovely"?.... I guess that is what nice weather will do to you if it happens repeatedly over time, you might get a little more "chill" and not as uptight and use words like "lovely", "darling" and "precious"...! :)
I will have to say, however, I am more than a bit perturbed that the rugs are still "airing" outside...  Now they are getting wet, and not that I mind the odor, I know how the concierge is.... that industrial dumpster is looming large in the future of this royal abode and its furnishings....
There was a subject I half wrote in my head already and it has now vanished from my thoughts.... grrrrr.... I can't remember the word or words at all....
How annoying.
And it is already past my royal refresh bedtime....
We are just too "chill" tonight....
So, may your memory be full to overflowing with sweet thoughts an reminisces....

Sophie and Paddington....

Sophie mugging for the picture....

Somehow this makes the concierge think of Charlie's Angels, TV series logo when "the Angels" would change scenes, or some such thing....

Gorgeousness!

Hi G-Fans!
Well, ANOTHER GORGEOUS DAY!!
Unheard of in these here parts!
The locals have nothing to talk about because usually it is all about complaints on how awful the weather is....
It was Indian summer weather today...
It was almost 90 degrees!
And now we are downright chilly!
No complaints from us today.
Well, about the weather anyway.
More cleaning occurred, just not as dramatic as the concierge was too busy to be doing anything extensive at the royal abode....
She had "engagements" to attend to .... well la-tee-dah!
We did get a woods walk, but I suspect we got somewhat of the bum's rush because the helper wanted to high tail it to a concert at the last minute....
Hrmph!
But, we did get some really good sniffs in and we are all pretty mellow at the moment.
I have to hand it to one of us (I am NOT ratting out who!)
All that cleaning.... and someone produced a mound of soft serve warm ice cream (poopie flavored) leaving it on a newly laundered rug.....
Woohoo!  It could have smelled worse, but it sent the message at any rate!
The concierge suspects Bertie and she will be doling out the carob powder and banana treats in a minute....
The pile was newly laid just in time for the concierge to discover it after she broke 3 pasta plates in Harry's driveway, after spending her dinner time at his domicile and neglecting and ignoring us.
Just sayin'...
She was fine and all (after tripping), and it made quite a crash since I heard it as well as Harry and his crew hearing it.... so she was held up while she cleaned up the chunks so no one would hurt their tootsies.  Then she went to the dryer to take more of our bedding and rugs out and the dryer was so full of sand and clumps of hair that she had to figure out how to assemble the wet/dry vac the helper brought over so she could vacuum it out of the dryer drum... The wet/dry vac... now there's a whole other drama and story that I won't go into tonight....!
So, needless to say, we have kept the concierge hopping today, from close up and from far away!
May your peace and joy not be dependent on the circumstances around you....

Stay the Course!

Hi G-Fans!
Just for inquiring minds this is posting #788!
Just sayin'...
So, another glorious day today.  But, bad news.... there were evil activities in the royal domicile.  EVIL!
I couldn't combat it.
I thought of vomiting to hold up proceedings, but decided I wanted to hang onto all my .....
So, it steamrolled ahead without my permission....
There was massive cleanings going on today, and it has only just begun....
It is one thing when the basement is being cleaned and organized, I can deal with that, I can even be on board and be supportive of that..... but, when the rugs are all yanked outside and the couches are sprayed and wiped/scrubbed down, then there's a problem....
The rugs are out there still, they are waiting for a scrub down as well.... ugh....
So much effort, so little respect... even the royal boudoir bed clothing has been cleaned, double ugh.
Maybe I can report this activity to the EPA.... there has been some pretty high water usage with all the washing and scrubbing....  Unfortunately the concierge doesn't subscribe to the use of chemicals to clean so I can't get her in trouble with that.....
She is just so slippery!
On an up-note we have been having some pretty yummy treats lately... chicken wrapped apple slices (dried) - we love them!  And microwaved potato chunks.... we love them too.
In fact, we love most treats.
We had an evening, full-bog walk and watched a pretty sunset and the bright crescent moon.
Little to report for incidents, although the concierge was talking a lot in the beginning of the walk and then not at all at the end.... hmmm....
So Harry is hanging with us today and doing a sleep over as his peeps are otherwise engaged.  It is that human wedding thing that they do.... such a bunch of brew ha ha.... just bring out the treats and do some nose-to-nose sniffing and some butt sniffing (you know it is true) and get on with it.... all this extra stuff could be transformed into walks, treats, toys.... etc....
So, anyway......
Because of this Harry got his own school walk and the concierge said he didn't twirl, skip, cavort or otherwise misbehave.  She was praising him for being such a lovely, gentle, well-behaved walking companion.... grrrr.... I  am a lovely, gentle, well-behaved walking companion when I am not surrounded by a bunch of ruffians all the time......  I AM!
Anyway, may you stay firmly centered on your course with gentleness and love..... and occasional nose tossing.....

Let Your Light Shine!

Hi G-Fans!
So, Another work week for the concierge comes to a close.  We ended with some excitement
(no, we haven't taken it upon ourselves to pilgrimage to the bog.... yet)
... George came back!
You ask, "Who is George?"
Well, George is making our royal abode much brighter.
The royal chambers now have not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new lights.  And the concierge thinks there needs to be one more put in... yikes!  What is she doing in there... brain surgery???
And now our cozy family gathering area has new lights and outlets.... cool....
AND we have new outside power so maybe we can get into the festive mode around here around holiday time....
That would be intriguing....!
So, we are getting the juice!
Now, to make this work to our advantage....
And... btw.... Harry likes George!  He slept on the couch (don't tell his concierges) while Raphael assisted George in drilling, splicing, conjoining, and whatnot....
Harry and Raphael understand that George gives them lights, they like lights....!
So, they like George!
What Harry doesn't like and seems to require frequently is baths!
I have included a snippet for your perusal....
(I tried two different formats in hopes one will work....)
Tonight, we had a regular in-the-dark school walk without incident, except for the nugget of poop Tessa left on the sidewalk that Harry's concierge kindly removed....
All I can say is the concierge potty trained her, not me....
I know there was more on my blogger "punch list" but at this hour it escapes me.....
So, may you shine your light in every room you enter without apology or concession....

Keep Your Cool!

HI G-Fans!
Well, it was a cloudy day that turned to rain before the concierge arrived home, which was way after dinner, but the usual Thursday night time, it seems...
Although the walk wasn't seeming likely, we did take a damp jaunt.
One of Harry's concierges fed us tonight, which I would say is atypical.  We see him at lunch weekly, but dinner-time is unusual...
So, I understand there will be more holes being drilled and wires being dragged and whatnot tomorrow.  I hope my nerves are up for it.  Harry's too.  He comes here to get a break from all the gritty humans at his house and now he is coming here to get another dose.... there's no escaping for him.....
Poor guy... what a birthday week for him!
On top of all that there will be more commotion over there when his human sisters descend upon the domicile for a whirlwind drop in.... something about dresses and perfume and family stuff.
He will be hanging more with us, so he won't have to get too dizzy from it all....
So, may you keep your cool despite the goings on all around you.... be your own island of cool, calm and collected :)

Happy BIrthday to the Rest of the Crew

Happy Birthday Babies!
The Party Aftermath....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, the birthday festivities are in full swing.  Treats for lunch, treats at bedtime, all kinds of special delectables are being shared.  I believe we will continue to celebrate into the weekend.  It would be nice if we were also celebrating with activities and not just food.  Like long strolls on the beach or Pond or Forest.... those would all do nicely..... Instead we are thrown a school walk late at night and definitely past the usual curfew.  If only the concierge would get home at a reasonable hour.  That would help so much.
I will say, we did not do any independent activities like we have in the past to celebrate.  We did not do the unsupervised bog pilgrimage this year, much to the relief of all the concierges!  It had been a family tradition, but this year we voted it out for now.  We aren't taking it off the agenda, we are just not acting on it right now...  We want to reserve the right to revisit the option in the future....
Oh, I should be fair and mention that the concierge spent the morning indulging our in/out desires.  She let us in and out of the house five or six times.... we really thought that was nice.
So, may every day sparkle like the candles on a birthday treat....

Happy Birthday!

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it is that time of year again, Gabriella turned 7 tonight and the other nine turn seven thereafter.  So, Happy Birthday Kids!  Funny, you would think I would be the one to get congratulated since I was pushing ten of those puppies through my loins.  The only child of mine to understand my contribution was, of course, my first born.  Gabriella.  The rest just think it is all about them.
We did have a pre-party to celebrate the transition of six year olds becoming seven year olds.  It is hard to believe I could possibly be old enough to have offspring so old.  I don't feel that old...
Well, anyway...
In addition to our soiree we had a school walk while being serenaded by local coyotes.  I think they are displaced by new construction nearby.  It is never nice to lose a home.  Especially because someone else is making your home their new home.  Seems selfish.  But, no one asked me.
The concierge and other humans were a little cautious about the coyote howl... they didn't appreciate how close it was....
We walked a bit closer together than usual tonight.  Safety in numbers as they say.....
So, may you celebrate the breath you take on a daily basis....

The celebration underway....

Woohoo!

Party animals.....

This is a wild party!

"Hey Ma!  You done good!"

Clinging Poop

Hi G-Fans!
It turned out to be a beautiful day, I wasn't sure what to expect when we went out the first time this morning...  But, it shaped up quite nicely....
So the concierge left early and came rather late tonight, but we got right to business on our walk, which was the school.  We saw lots of cars and some people, there must have been some kind event we weren't privy to..... we kept our cool and didn't make a fuss... much to all the concierges' preference...
So, we walked without incident.
From what I understand, however, that Harry went on a "pre-walk" and his concierge stepped into a BIG pile of poop that got into the crevices of his shoes.  Just like my concierge from the other day.  She couldn't understand why the funky poop smell wafted up into her nostrils in odd moments.... that is until the light bulb went on and she thought to check her shoes and there was a massive amount of poop tenaciously clinging to her sneaker.  I have had plenty of poop clinging to my paw.  I just clean it up.  Self bathing.
My tongue, the all purpose tool.....
Anyhoo....
May you find an inoffensive and efficient process in which to remove the poop clinging in your limbs....
Just sayin'

Bertie says, "Whoa, I know I left it somewhere around here, it was here the last time I self-bathed.....!"

Sophie in repose and a rare quiet moment.....

Snagglepus in typical snuggle mode....
