Results.....

Hi G-Fans!
The concierge and I decided to take a break last night.
So, we have had some great weather and I hear it is suppose to continue :)
We did a school walk in the damp evening because the concierge got home on the late side (the sun was down already).  We missed the big rain that the concierge drove home in, so we didn't really get drippy wet.
We got a little excited a few times walking, but we aren't telling what we saw, smelled or heard.... it is for us to know and for the concierge to wonder about....!
Izzy and Jack's concierge checked in yesterday and she made me realize I have been unclear.
Let me be perfectly clear :)
Raphael and I are on the mend.
All our exams, bloodwork, urines, fecals and whatnot revealed that we are healthy, have no parasites, no brewing problems and no obvious reason for our extreme illnesses from last week.
Huh.
Raphael takes his last pill this morning, I have a few more days to go.
The concierge said we are going to start transitioning back to our regular diet this morning, which I am glad to hear because Raphael needs the calories.  Rice and chicken isn't sustaining his high calorie demands for his busy body!!
Oh, and,,,,
No one else was sick.
So, we are thinking of our next move... do we send stuff to a lab to be analyzed?
Or...?
So, that is it in a nutshell.
I think a forest walk is in the works today.  The concierge has things to do today, but most of it is home based, so that is good.  She said she is only going out for a bit today... let's hope she doesn't get distracted and forget that we have plans to hang!
So, may you schedule "down time" in your day with as much commitment as anything else you might schedule!

Count your stars!!

Hi G-Fans!
Here I sit looking at the hook that holds up the walking restraints.
They are not on our faces or necks.
They are not attached to our bodies in any way.
They hang lifeless as we pass back and forth through the doorway by which they hang.
I know the concierge was late tonight, but not any later than any other Thursday night...
So, what's up with no tip-toeing through the tulips I would like to ask...?
It isn't raining out.
It was a beautiful crisp and sunny day.
The evening is no less perfect (especially for a walk).
So what-up?
Seems hardly right.
Nice weather, ready to use leashes.... interested participants awaiting the signature move indicating we will be stepping out...
Alas, no.
So, I make the best of the potato treats - I give my best "Oliver Twist orphan face" to get seconds and thirds...
Raphael just swings sideways and displays his skinny self with ribs showing way too much....He gets even more extras than me...
Lucky!
Napolean Dynamite had some things right for sure....
So, may you count your stars and not your raindrops....

It is all about the treats too....

Hi G-Fans!
Another night of torture.
Imagine smelling multiple varieties of your favorite foods cooking all at once.
The concierge whipped up another batch of our chicken and rice, but the helper was simultaneously baking an order of Thai chicken.  There are also potato treats baking filling the whole house up with cooking smells.
Those medicines really work because Raphael and I are HUNGRY!
We had some unauthorized activity this morning, I think Harry's concierge was implicated, we aren't throwing anyone under the bus.... We might need the guilty party  at later date for something else.....
So far no ill effects to the unauthorized treat and tonight we got authorized treats and smelled the wafts of aroma of freshly baked treats.
Well, if I don't close it up the concierge is going to fall on her head, so....
May you find your bed warm and inviting so that you don't fall asleep in a hard chair and fall on your head!

It is all about the sympathy...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, I was dragged to the vet today and we were there for a very long time.  I have more lotions and potions than Raphael, so I must be sicker.
It is all about the sympathy.
The concierge not only has me on the same bland diet and pill, I also get extra fluids and a "slurry"....
I also had a few more tests than he did....
But, of course, I am worth it!
I did eat my supper and I begged a potato treat... so I do feel better than I had been.
I think tomorrow I will be back in the saddle!
Speaking of saddles... the concierge was walking pretty funny today..... She said her legs were a "bit" stiff!  The way she was walking I would have thought she had something caught up her butt!
But that is just me....
She kept harping on how smelly my butt was and embarrassing me at the doctor's, she even unceremoniously washed my hiney with hand soap.... Some nerve and such a low rent maneuver!
I got her, I still was smelly even after the application of soap!  HA!
So, rest for me, rest for Raphael and hopefully no one comes down with our malady, which we are still waiting to hear what might be going on!  Food poisoning?  Compost problems theft?  We will find out....
So, may you leave untouched the slimy green goo that is rotting in order to feed the plants!
It really is a good plan - especially if it results in bloody diarrhea and vomit.... the pits!
Or, avoid the foods made in China!!
We will see which is the culprit!
Anyhoo -

And so it continues...

Hi G-Fans!
Still under the weather today, even though our ambient environmental weather was a vast mixture of sun, rain, clouds, humidity, coolness, warm.... etc.!
I just lost dinner on two separate carpets.... too bad since it was chicken and rice with a late night potato crisp straight out of the oven.  I told the concierge to not worry about it, but I think I am getting dragged to the vet tomorrow.... we will see....
So far the other three show no signs of bloody vomit or feces.... That's professional talk for puke and poop....
Raphael is quite a bit improved and pulled on the walk as per usual.
RIley seemed bothered by the humidity.
So, I am showing you the torturous conditions I am forced to exist under... the captions will put things into perspective...
May the greed of others have no ill effect upon your health or life....

The Rhododendrons....

Lady slippers are starting to show themselves....

Now this is a kicker, not only am I sick, but I am a sick dog... And there is general frivolity and merriment going on with MOCHA CHOCOLATE GANACHE cupcakes circulating RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE!!  Does the trauma ever end?

Insult to injury, the damn sock monkey can have a cupcake while I am forbidden!  At least the concierge can't have any either, that is a small comfort.....

While I am left home to wither away there is some  trail riding going on with the concierge bringing up the rear - at least that didn't change.....!

Again, insult to injury - the concierge stuffed her face with her rendition of a Swedish Pancake, and yet I have not a morsel.  I don't care if I had been vomiting.  I should not suffer smelling it bake and then not get a taste.  Oh, and btw, This whole diarrhea and vomiting thing is really making a fast turn around in the smell quotient around here!  At least there is something positive from all this....

UGH...ICK...

Hi G-Fans....
Well, today was not so hot.  Although I had a nice morning, the afternoon was one with diarrhea and vomiting.  So I have been closely watched so we can avoid what Raphael went through.  We will see.
I turned up my nose to dinner even though it was rice and chicken.  I was not interested.
The concierge is now sleeping on the couch so if I have an emergency she can let me out....
Bertie too - his tummy is gurgling.... uh oh...
We are thinking the new cookies are the culprit... there were some things written about treats that have proven deadly and it might be the problem.... so keep the prayers coming!
I am going to sleep now -
May you make ethical choices and may you be treated ethically!!

Foul!

Hi G-Fans!
I write to you tonight with the battle cry, 'FOUL"!   It is censorship pure and simple!
Wouldn't you think that I would keep you up-to-date on all the latest?
So, after much negotiation concerning the written word and why it is important that I have freedom to bark out.... the concierge has agreed to to not censor me concerning Friday's gripe, but let me tell you, I am starting to wonder if she is a despot in the making.....
So, before I get into our dusky walk in the forest last night sans Raphael, I would like to let you know the torture I endured Friday. Yes, you read right,  TORTURE!
It started at lunchtime.
Our morning was relatively peaceful enough.  The usual snoozing and occasional bark.
And then she came.
Harry's oldest human sister....
And she had intentions.
She sent us outside, gave us cookies and NEVER LET US BACK IN!
While we were outside she went crazy in the house.  She tore everything up.  She threw beds out the door.  She threw carpets out the door.  She dismantled my castle and I couldn't do anything about it!
Nothing.
Nada.
Zippo.
I watched helplessly as all the months of secreting small treasures and scents throughout the first floor was undone before my eyes.
TORTURE!
HORRIFYING!
TRAUMATIZING!
When everything was put back together and couches, carpets and beds returned to their usual locations, it just wasn't the same.  Everything is still just not quite right.
So even though we got our forest walk Friday, it wasn't without its preceding angst.
And, as far as Raphael.
He went to the doctor yesterday.  It is inconclusive.  He had bloodwork.  He is ordered to stay on a bland diet for the next week.  He has to take a pill twice a day.  He may start eating kangaroo meat!!  I just can't quite get there for that.... bison I get, but kangaroo?  I dunno.... because if he is eating that, it is likely we will all be getting that.....  Stay tuned for the that blog!!
So, may you have the freedom and the courageo speak your heart when so moved.
TTFN!

More Lost Cookies:(

Hi G-Fans!
So, the skipped walk from yesterday was worth it, because we went on a forest walk tonight, and the light held even with the overcast grey sky.  The concierge got home at a completely reasonable hour and she is ready to rock'n'roll for a long weekend!  I expect some pretty fabulous walks this weekend!
Raphael took a turn for hurling the cookies today.  He is making it a way bigger deal though.  He is throwing in pink-tinged diarrhea with the vomit.  He is going to the doctor's tomorrow.  I guess the concierge is worried....
I guess I am a bit too....
Although he still pulled really hard on the leash on tonight's walk and showed no signs of feeling lowly...
But he was given no cookies to lose tonight and he is looking pretty depressed at this point.
He even puked his rice tonight.
That-not-good!
So, some of the plans of the concierge has been curtailed, her gastric juices will have to be satisfied with a lesser fortification source than originally planned.
She will survive such things!
But not without note!
So, may you have plenty of TLC available to you on one of your "off" days, and may you remember to follow the BRAT diet in order to speed your recovery.....!

Latest Ever!

Hi G-Fans!
Tonight was the latest EVER for the concierge to get home from the work thing she does.
So late that a unitlateral decision was made to scrap the walking for tonight.... I am good with that as long as everything else is ok....
You know, like cookies and lovins' - that sort of thing.
( ...plus I was promised an afternoon bog walk or forest walk tomorrow... and three more days of the same since the dog-mobile is back in action.....!  And no, it wasn't a bribe...)
At bedtime I had a singing moment which some might mistakenly identify as me growling.
The concierge wouldn't stop kissing my ears and cheeks and it made me do singing-whiny grunty sounds....
I just can't help it - I did the same thing as a baby when I ate my food.
It just happens.
I bet I am not the only one to have an embarrassing "tic"....!
Anyway...
May your happiness show to those around you so they may share in your joyful state!

Babies in the grass.....

Hi G-Fans!
I sense the concierge losing her second wind.... not good.
We did a bog walk and returned home at 8:58 according to the helper (he asked that I include that in my notes...).
What did we see as the sun was ablaze with orange, blue, purple, yellow and pink clouds?
A baby fox.
It stared at us while it sat in the grass...
It shifted its position several times whilst watching us watching him/her.
It even went flat to the ground at one point, and then sat bolt upright.
At least that is what the concierge' said.  She thought it was young because of its size.  We could smell it but we missed the visual.... we are relying on the humans reporting this to us.  They are all in agreement.
So, I would say it is a fair assessment.
Other than that we had little excitement that I can recall.
It was another fabulous, sunny and cool spring day!
It was awesome!
May your days all be sunny with colorful skies in celebration of you!

It really is about the cookies....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, another glorious and spectacular day, great to do anything or nothing!
I kept all my cookies today, but the concierge, while visiting a client, reports that one of the dogs came up to her bag and spewed a nugget of food with gastric juices attached.  Since she was a small dog, it was a small amount of vomit.
Go figure.
I wonder what about the concierge is making us all puke....?
So, I enjoyed a leisurely day ending in a late night school walk and cookies.
The concierge endured a long trying day, ending in bill paying and dishes.
How can two individuals live in the same house have such different experiences?
May all your days end with a stroll and a cookie (that is kept down)...

Lost Cookies

Hi G-Fans!
Well, we have had it all today.  Sun, rain and clouds.... not necessarily in that order.
The concierge worked today, but was home before dark so we could get a bog walk.
Which we did, and it didn't rain on us, although there were a few droplets here and there.
Since we were fed before going everyone was a bit mellower than if we went on empty stomachs.
I, however, was not able to maintain my full stomach.
Maybe 2/3 of the way through the walk I felt a little sluggish and had to pause.
I really wanted some grass nibblings to assist in my nauseous state...
But, partway up the only hill of the walk I stopped and lost my cookies!  Upchucked.  Vomited.  Threw up.  Puked.  Ralphed.  Technicolor Yawning.  Hurled.  ETCETERA.
I was disappointed to leave it behind, as was Raphael.  But, we had a mission of home to continue with and since I politely puked to the side of the path, it was all good.
So, that was my evening.
I did get an extra bedtime cookie to make up for my empty tummy.
So, may you get makeup cookies when you lose your original cookies....
