Upholding Standards

Hi G-Fans!
Well, the close to another Tuesday night.
We continue to endure the torture of bang-bang-banging.
And the lead one tried to ply my good graces with treats.
I let him think it worked.  Little does he know I am plotting for revenge on this invasion of my inner sanctum.
I ate the bribe and allowed a perfunctory pat of the head (why do humans feel so compelled to touch my head?  It is very disconcerting).
I will play the head pat game in order to get more of those chicken meatball treats - they are worth the indignity involved in a strange hand touching my lovely locks....  Only briefly though!
Nothing extended!
That would be too familiar and I am NOT about allowing the familiar other than with the concierge!
Today we had mushy accumulation of wet slush.
I think it was a surprise to all of us.
It is gone now that the rain took care of it.
But it was causing all sorts of issues.
So, May you uphold your standards and limits despite pressure to do otherwise.

I need a break!

Hi G-Fans!
Well, the concierge passed out before I could get her attention, so now that I have it, I don't have much to work with....
So, this will be brief.
First I would like to lodge a formal complaint that there was no walk tonight and for no good reason.
The concierge said she was too cold and tired.
I say I am sick and tired!
So, maybe she did pass out trying to finish a needed task.
Maybe she did go into a fire-induced wood stove coma.
But, so what.
I need my walk!
I am cooped up all day with a bunch of ne'er-do-wells ruffians and I need to get some fresh air and a break from all this.
Not to mention those hammer slinging bangers came back today.
I thought I had gotten rid of them!
So, I guess I will have to hear all that again!
So, may exert a modicum of calm over your day, despite your feelings or circumstances.
TTFN!

Patience is a Virtue

Hi G-Fans!
Just a quick check-in...
The weather continues to be baffling.
It was raining this morning and it is raining now, but we had a nice afternoon walk and it was overcast, but pleasant.
The highlight according to the concierge was NOT when we went defcon ballistic while driving by two humans and an unleashed dog, no, according to her it was when two other humans  were in our vicinity and we DIDN'T go ballistic and Raphael and myself allowed them to pat and talk to us.  We actually liked them.  If the concierge only understood how sensitive we are to EVERYTHING and we can tell who we can trust and who we need to be on alert around.
Things would go so much more smoothly if she would.
So, my you trust your reaction to new situations and show patience to yourself and others.

Surround yourself with Christmas Love!

Hi G-Fans!
I would say we got the overall bum's rush yesterday.
Our forest walk was downgraded to a school walk and then it was downgraded to a path walk across the street.  Which we did do and was better than nothing, but, that is it, better than nothing.
Today we were transported to the forest and had a nice walk, and despite all the traffic in the forest we had a peaceful walk, we did, however hear guns in the not-too-far-distance. We were wearing our orange and the concierge and Harry's concierge were wearing neon yellow/greenish and the helper wore a safety vest, so we were covered and no stray bullets came our way.  Or arrows, or whatever else is lurking behind the trees.
We have enjoyed liver treats, gizzards, cookies and some new toys, so I guess all is adequate for our Christmas celebrating.
The concierge enjoyed sleeping in her bed last night and not on the couch, she seemed to be ok, and I think she really needed it!
So, may the Christmas spirit of love surround you throughout the New Year....

It takes time to create a masterpiece....

Hi G-Fans!
Wow, who would have thought?
We actually had a walk today.
With all the rain I am surprised.
And even more surprising is that we didn't get wet and the moon was bright and shining!
Surprise, surprise, SUE-Prize!
All went well and I don't recall any mishaps.
Other than that the drones continue to bang and saw away at the upstairs.  I inspected tonight, I am not impressed.
So, the concierge is looking at me a little wild eyed, she never recouped from last night's extreme sleep deprivation....
zzzzzzzzzz.......

So...
Another day -
What is more annoying...

A) Falling asleep while dictating an important piece of information?
or
B) Dictating to someone and they fall asleep while typing your dictation and losing all the dictated information?

I say "B".
Which is what the concierge did last night.
Whatever thoughtful and insightful pearls of wisdom I imparted are now lost since the concierge decided she would sleep instead of typing what I told her....
So annoying!  AND RUDE!
On an up-note, I will not have to endure any unwelcome visitors for at least four days (according to my calculation at any rate).  I am really missing out on my beauty rest.  Good thing I have plenty of good looks to spare!  Otherwise there might be a big problem!
And there is the beginnings of a floor and walls and a door.
Lighting is under discussion.
Sinks too.
As long as there are no discussions of doggie baths I'm good.
I will say that Snagglepus has taken the scent layering to a whole new level, I would even consider endorsing a bath for him...
Just sayin'...
So, may you find that joy in your heart that wiggles and jiggles and has to be shared....
Happy two-days-before-Christmas....

Is it dinner yet?

A couple of chillin' Christmas dogs...

Where is her Christmas spirit???

My bear is back!

Let me get a closer look at those treats you are holding....

Caught in the act of maiming the water - after only three minutes in the royal abode!
Mighty parched after all that barking!

Hmm - now that I am hydrated I can check out the cat....
