It is ALL about the cats!

Hi G-Fans!
So, we had some pretty significant rain today mixed with drizzle and mist.
By the time we should have been getting a walk it wasn't too bad out.
The concierge, however, had to finish some stinky computer thingy and we got the ditch.
Harry got a walk, we did not.
That is completely wrong!
I kept the concierge awake and almost focused on her task, but she still dozed a few times which made the process even longer.  Bertie bailed after the first hour.
I am still trying to look adorable in hopes she will take us anyway.
I know it is a long shot though!
We will see what tomorrow will bring.
Just an update...
The concierge still has all her digits despite having to shove pills down the throats of two cats.  Sophie is twice a day and Snagglepus is once.  I hear yelps on occasion and this morning there was some questionable sounds coming from the basement when Sophie somehow disengaged her pill from not only her throat but the special stuff the concierge wraps it up in so it goes down easier.  I don't think it worked.... the pill ended up on top of the freezer, which was better than between the freezer and the washer......
Tonight the concierge ditched the wrapping stuff for the pill and just jammed it down her throat.  It went better than this morning as far as I could tell.
The concierge also stopped on the way home to desperately find SOMETHING Snagglepus would eat since he's been on a  everal day hunger food strike.  The only thing the concierge could get him to eat today was shrimp.  Two rather large ones this morning and two at lunch.  Tonight she brought home cans and pouches and he has eaten some of the offered tidbits.  (She also brought home a dog log for us so we won't be jealous - good thinking).  She has wastefully, however, thrown out A LOT of uneaten cat food, especially in the last few days!  I don't understand how she could be so wasteful.  She MUST know we would help her out with that and she won't have to be burdened with the guilt of throwing perfectly (almost) good food out.
I will keep reminding her we are ready and willing to assist.
So, may you find the most efficient way to tackle unpalatable tasks in your day and get them done without angst and, when necessary, utilize help in whatever form it may take....!
Just sayin'...

The Be-attitudes....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it seems we have regressed back to summer.  The air has been thick with on/off waterworks all day.  Sun.  Rain.  Sun. Rain.  Torrential rain.  Sun.  Sprinkles.
You get the idea.
So, the concierge was out of the house like a shot this morning dragging poor Miss Sophie with her.  The concierge returned for the remainder of the morning, but without Miss Sophie.  Miss Sophie was left at the doctor's office.  I want to know how the concierge could abandon her like that....?
Well, I guess it turned out O.K., when she returned home tonight Miss Sophie was with her.  Apparently she has to take pills twice a day for two weeks.  Too bad it wasn't me, I like mine with peanut butter!
The concierge says for me to be glad it wasn't me, poor Miss Sophie is uncomfortable.
There are so many tidbits I could share, but the concierge is giving me the bum's rush so she can finish that training she was working on yesterday.... I bet she falls asleep before the end of chapter 4 (she starts at chapter 4...!
Just sayin'
So, may your life be one that balances quietude, gratitude, and action in good measures!

The waves keep rolling....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, there wasn't any sky gazing tonight (the moon is bright, however, and lit our path), and there was only a stinky school walk.
And the concierge was a bit distracted today.
All morning she was nose deep in the computer while some lady talked at her.  The concierge was pretty rude to the lady in the computer.  The lady seemed to ignore her and kept on talking.  There were some colorful words being said as the concierge clicked, clicked, clicked away at the keyboard - let me tell you!
Apparently she isn't done with that process, so there is more to come.  My aching ears!
The concierge, admittedly, had a rough day.
It started yesterday and moved right on in to today.
I can't give you details, but I will say that Sophie is being brought to the vet bright and early tomorrow morning because she keeps going to her potty box.
So, we have Snagglepus who is just maintaining a subpar existence, Sophie with her potty concerns, the concierge who came home wiped out from some work challenges involving police and angry people and other things.  And the leaking pipe that was repaired this morning.  Other things went on as well, but the concierge is shushing me.  She did that a lot when the plumber was here.  I say, if he can't show us his face directly, he is suspect.  He entered and exited through the basement, I say we need to be really clear about who is in charge around here!
So, may you roll with the waves of life, but with purpose, unlike the bobbing cork.....

Blood Moon

Hi G-Fans!
So, apparently the concierge never hit the "Publish" button from last night's entry.  So, it will be a two-fer tonight....!
It was a gorgeous fall day, crisp, clear and sunny!  This is getting to be  a nice habit!
We had a strange day though....
The concierge did her usual Sunday morning routine, but then never came back, not for a long time.  Harry's concierge took care of our midday needs.
When the concierge did return she blew in like a hurricane, slapped our harnesses on and bundled us up into the royal transport and whisked us off to the forest.
We had a nice walk there, very little to report.  Good smells, a couple of possible issues that the concierges seemed keen on avoiding, and not much else.
Then we were thrown dinner and she blew out of here to do some more potion creating.....
This is getting out of paw!
How many potions does she need to make for goodness sakes?
Anyway, then, she blew back in, wolfed some dinner down and then sat out in the cold with Harry's concierges and briefly with the helper, to watch the sky.......
Something about a rare occurrence in the sky.  Something about a Blood Moon or a Lunar Eclipse.
I don't know, I wasn't invited.
There were eye utensils employed and comments to neighbors about putting their lights out.
I guess it was something exciting because there was a lot of "ooohing" and "ahhhhhing" going on out there...
On top of all that, Sophie got herself locked into a room all day and when she was finally released she seems to be showing signs of having a peeing problem.  So, the concierge was on the computer, yet again, and not for me, to find a fix to the problem....
We will see if it helps.
So, may you be curious enough to keep the spark of "joie de vivre" alive without getting yourself into a bad pickle!!
Just sayin'

This was the view the last time the concierge saw Sophie this morning, Sophie was so stealthy the concierge had no clue she snuck into the other room when the concierge wasn't looking.... apparently!

The Rolling of Sisyphus.....

Hi G-Fans!
Another stellar day with crisp air and sunny skies.  There was a good forest walk thrown in for good measure!
However, all is not perfect in the kingdom.
There was activity this afternoon that was not approved by me.
AT ALL.
Now, I thought we were clear of danger when noon hit and no mops, cleaners, vacuums or other utensils of torture were brought out.
But then it happened/
Now, it isn't the most thorough job we have endured.  But. nonetheless, much of the hair, dust bunnies and stashes of sand between the couch cushions have been removed.  Two different vacuums were used.
I don't know how this can occur without my final approval.
It is baffling.
Who is in charge around here anyway?!?!
And she is soooo sneaky!  She seems to have picked up a thing or two from me.  I don't know whether to be proud or annoyed.
She was doing the Saturday morning relaxation thing.  Sitting in the sun, sipping tea, doing her homework....
Usually when the Saturday starts like that, I am golden.  And I heard that there was going to be a 1:30 walk, so I KNEW I was good when 12:00 hit and no activity of a cleaning nature was underway.
Man. she really got me on that one!
But, we got through it, we got the walk, and it won't take long at all to get it beautiful again.
No time at all.
So, may you roll the boulder of Sisyphus with no expectation of it staying at the top of the hill.

The party is over...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, not only is the party over, but any usual niceties are over too, apparently.
Although it was a gorgeous fall day, crisp, bright and sunny, there was not only no walk, but there was no concierge for over 12 hours....!
Talk about abandonment issues!
Once she arrived looking all drawn and pinched, she scrounged some food, well, she tried to scrounge some food, but Harry's concierge took pity on her sad state and fed her homemade chicken soup.  The concierge gratefully accepted and slurped down a bowl.  Now, Harry's concierge fed us again tonight, but we did NOT get a bowl of chicken soup....
Just sayin'...
So, the concierge looked a little perkier after eating for a little bit and then, after tea and stale cookies, she passed out, with me on her left and Tessa draped onto her lap from the right.  She came "to" enough, however, to tell Harry's concierge and the helper that she was in no shape to walk tonight.
That's right.
NO WALK!
Ridiculous!
Not even a measly school walk!
I will say she passed out into a deep unconscious state until a few minutes ago, at which time she finished the evening routines and told me she could help me with the blog....
So here we are.....
I am hoping tomorrow won't be sucked up by more cooking activities and there will be some major royal romp time!
We will see.
I also heard threats of cleaning.
That is always an issue, as you know.
So, may you enjoy the moment without regret and not excuse yourself into tomorrow before it is time.....!

Happy Birthday to the PUPPIES!

Hi G-Fans!
I guess it is ALL ABOUT THE PUPPIES!
Even eight year old puppies!!
We were treated to liver for the birthday dinner celebration and had chicken jerky for bedtime snacks, so we had a good day treat-wise.
Walk-wise I would say it was not birthday celebration-worthy.
Just sayin'
It sufficed, and an extra jaunt around the tree-line in the field made for some good sniffing.
Aside from that, not much to report - oh - except the birthday jog down the sidewalk at one point.  I am pretty sure it was a distraction for us so we wouldn't notice the stinky dog across the street.  Or it was to avoid the vicious Fisher cat we saw (Concierge note: It was a regular cat, not a Fisher cat....!)
But, because Raphael popped all the balloons from our last party the concierge was not blowing up anymore balloons if they are only going to be pounced on and unexpectedly popped within moments of tying them off.  Not only does it make us all jumpy, but it makes a mess for the concierge to clean up.  Not her usual type of mess I might add.
So, the party has come and gone, the birthday is almost gone and we mark eight years of waiting for the last pups to get placed in their new homes.  The concierge tells me to give it up and accept that after eight years they are staying and are not slated for re-location any time soon!
Another strike to the concierge!
Ridiculous to say the least.
Oh well,
It keeps me busy anyway!
So, may you celebrate all facets of your life with regularity and enthusiasm.
TTFN!
And Happy Birthday to EVERYONE!
