Light snow and cold temp

Hi G-Fans!
Well, snow.  Not wow snow.  But, snow.
Not Buffalo snow.  But snow.  Not Conway snow.  But, still, snow.
The concierge likes snow because we don't drag as much dirt into the house.
And, when it is the light cold snow it doesn't stick to our fur so we aren't really wet either.
So, today, light cold snow that left a smidgen of build-up.  Just enough to snort and stomp at in the back yard like a horse.
That is what we like to do with snow.
I like it deeper.  So does everyone else.
So we can stick our noses deep into it and sniff hard to find out which little critters have burrowed tunnels through....
It is a fun game.
Another fun game is sniff out the chicken parts.
Somewhere on our walk there is consistently chicken carcass parts left strewn about.  So, when we walk in the dark like tonight, we have the advantage over the concierges and one of us can usually nab a section.  Tessa got some last week, quite a bit in fact.  Raphael got some tonight.  It was promptly removed, but I suspect he managed to hang on to some of the decaying mess.
Harry also got the drop on unauthorized items on the walk.  Three concierges were working his jaw and trying to get the contents removed.  They fumigated their gloves and hands when they returned from the great outdoors.  The agreed upon suspicion that it was pre-digested food that had already been processed once.  (i.e. - poop) .  They were so uncool about all of it.  Like it is a big deal or something.  Like Tessa, Bertie or others aren't right there with him on that quest.
Humans eat hot dogs and devil dogs, what's the diff?
Anyhoo.....
May the unseen force be with you and may you use it only for the power of good!

Thanksgiving Wishes!

I am thankful for getting our room back and we don't have to share it with that cat anymore....

I am thankful for that too, and for head rubs and pasta....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, I can tell you, I am a little miffed.  It is Thanksgiving and I didn't see one speck of turkey coming my direction.  Although I had a good bog walk with little distraction, I did not get any treats as expected.
I can say that I a more than a little aggravated about this.  The concierge came home and breathed turkey breath and scallop breath on me, but was not sporting any morsels to share....
Disgusting!
And so what that I am on a rice diet after leaving the odiferous liquid horrors early this morning.  Too bad I didn't ask to go out, I was tired and I needed the vile stuff to be out of me.  I didn't wake anyone up because I am so considerate.  Unfortunately, I can't help that the concierge has a hound-nose.  She was pretty grumpy after losing sleep two days in a row cleaning up Bertie's and my diarrhea piles.
I don't get why she doesn't just take a nap on days like that?
Simple fix.
Yesterday, by the way, there was NO WALK!  So I don't feel bad about my mess.  We should have had a walk.
That is another story for another day I guess...
Tonight we had to smell popcorn and not get any of that either.
I think the memo needs to get out about how royals are treated on a food holiday.
Today is not an example anyone should follow.
SO, may you find a grateful spirit filling your heart so that it spills over and leaks onto everyone you meet :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi G-Fans!
SO, I considered not writing tonight and let the concierge sleep as she is want to do these days...
However...
Nature took over my decision.
I guess I am having the same issue as Bertie.
The concierge woke up sometime after falling asleep at the computer in the royal boudoir to the wafting aroma of diarrhea.
She assumed it was Bertie again until she got into the kitchen, turned on the light, and did not see anything there other than what should be there and the odor had receded.
She turned and looked where she had come from and there was a trail....
She stepped in what I left behind, and boy, I really left behind something spectacular.
It was much more liquid than the liquid cat and the odor persists even now.... after the mess has been removed, the rug has been removed to the raining exterior and room spray has been applied.
Oh, and the concierge's slippers have been cleaned off.....
I don't think the concierge is mad at me 'cause she gave me doggie-safe chocolate as a snack a few minutes ago and no one else got any, she even pushed Raphael away when he wanted a snortful.
And yet....
I am now downstairs giving her these pearls to record.... telepathically....
And she left me outside for quite awhile after she found the pile, and it is drizzly and yucky out.
So, I am not 100% sure of my standing right now....
The concierge is wondering why I didn't ask her to get myself outside if I was having the urge....
I don't have to answer that...
And I won't.
It just isn't something I want to discuss.
So, may you find yourself counting your blessings,
even when you are knee deep in life's pools of poop!
You will find them if you look!
TTFN!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

"I can't look...."

"I wish I had an Alka Seltzer"  (said in a sing-songy voice with the expectation of hearing "you ate it Ralph" in response...).
"Boy, it smells around here, and I am not talking pretty!"

"Don't look at me....I didn't do anything!"

"It really is stinkeroo around here!"

"I am feeling a little low...."

Liquid cats and diarrhea....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, yesterday was quite balmy, but it started out stormy here.  There was a trail of diarrhea that greeted us when we came downstairs.  Someone is sick and they didn't ask to relieve their discomfort outside.  It was a mess, even from my perspective.  Bertie was the suspect even though it could have been Tessa.  The concierge determined this based on poop pattern... Tessa usually dumps in one pile, Bertie usually disperses it.....
Well, we have confirmation this morning.
The concierge separated them last night and sure enough Bertie's side had a spray of diarrhea again.
The smell was what woke the concierge up.
For some reason Bertie gave the concierge a hard time last night grumbling and growling, but never made a peep to poop this morning.
Go figure....
He is such a boy.
So, the house smells like Bertie's stinky poop even with all the effective lotions and potions the concierge has to clean it all.... P-U!
On top of that we suspect he threw up the day before and I threw up last night.  So, we are ramping it up.  What could we have gotten into??? I don't remember anything we did that wasn't authorized.
Well, I think there is some more carob powder in Bertie's future, probably some rice too.
The concierge was a bit slow to get on all this ....
I think that she will be on higher alert now.
So, may you let those around you know when you need assistance when you don't have opposable thumbs to use the appropriate facilities on your own.....!
Just sayin'....

Gratitude....

Hi G-Fans!
I am making this brief since the concierge has accused me of snoring a couple of times already tonight....
What can I say, if she doesn't provide me with adequate support for my royal cranium, my airways tend to rattle.....
It is a royal rattle at any rate....
So, it has been a dreary and rainy day, but warmer than it has been in the last few days.
Not much of a walk to discuss, to the school and back, Riley is the only one to make it worth his while in the potty department....  The rest of us were very focused on the treats waiting for us at home.
We really do love the new moist "cookies", they are the bomb!!!
Even Riley got a little snappy to make sure he got his in his mouth!!
Other than that there's not much going on... the food holiday is coming soon.  I hear Gabriella is coming down to see me.
Of course she can't drive on her own, so she is bringing both concierges with her.  She is always such a good daughter, she brings coconut cookies with her usually or some other delectable treat she likes to share with everyone when she comes....  Some of my girls I haven't even seen in years, even if one of them has sent a good word here and there.  The other one I had a few pictures, but it is like I didn't even give birth to them.  Same goes for some of those boys too.
Anyway....
I guess I digress from the gratitude wave that should be sweeping us up in its grip.....
So, may a grateful heart rule your every choice.....

I'm Back :)

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it has been a busy two days.  I have been to the bog for a full bog walk once (today - it was gorgeous weather for us) and twice for good forest walks.  So, I didn't get to the blog last night, so sorry!
Now, mind you, not all the royal inhabitants did three walks this weekend.  Just two of us (well, three if you count the concierge) have had three.  It should be one, but I will not harp on that.
The concierge was given explicit language detailing what would happen if I were not making the first cut every time she chooses to split the walks up.  Explicit.  I told her that if she thought Raphael made a horrible mess, she hasn't seen nutthin'....  I would make a much more pointed mess, it would be clear and unmistakable!
I am so glad she heeds my warnings!  So much easier on all of us!
Now, as far as the concierge, she said she felt better today, but she resumed her early hour schedule - I know - on a Sunday!?!  She rallied well most of the day, but seemed to hit a wall after we ate, but before she ate.... I will be watching her closely.  I enjoyed a soft blanket nap with her and Snagglepus on the couch before her supper.  It was very snuggly.
And now, we are winding down and retired to the royal boudoir.
I am sure there is more excitement to report on, but I am so relaxed and ready for my beauty rest from all the good walking conditions, I am ready to turn my pen in....
So, may you persist in light of challenging conditions, and rest when needed....

Eventfully Uneventful...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, the close to another week of the concierge being unavailable for hours on end.  I expect my good walk tomorrow.  This has been an eventfully uneventful week.
We did not pilgrimage on our own.  We did not engage with any new humans or animals that I can recall.  We did not forage for unauthorized snacks (btw - Raphael is officially back to normal from last week's escapades).  Nor did we tear up, rip or otherwise maim unattended paraphernalia (aside from the missing sock, we stashed that somewhere good:).
But, on the other hand....
The concierge started getting up really early and leaving really early from the royal abode.  Then, she was just getting over the other cold and she went into a new virus round knocking her out which meant she didn't stay out late Thursday night, but she slept through our dinner time (don't worry, the helper rescued us - not even an hour after the dinner bell should have woken up the concierge - so we were ok...)
And she came back home smelling like all kinds of unusual animals.
So, uneventfully eventful.
It seems all systems are back on track.  I understand Sunday the concierge will be doing another early morning departure, but expects to return soon thereafter.....
And the big food fest that the humans seem to do every year is next week.  So I am thinking there should be some fresh poultry in our future.
So, we will see.
Tonight we went to the school without Bertie or Tess.  They went on the block walk and said they had a near-miss encounter with a dog that may have been unleashed, but no contact and no issues.  They also had some near-brushes with the bushes and curbs (well, the concierges had the almost-issues....).
And, there was grumping going on before the walk....
So, I hope the irritable grouchy demeanor of the concierge is dropped soon, it is getting old!
So, may your demeanor remain sweet despite your circumstance and may you only resort to growling and snapping when absolutely necessary....
Just sayin'...

Dog Love

Hi G-Fans!
Well, another unexpected day at the royal domicile.
It was sunny and warmer than yesterday, but that isn't saying too much.
Even though the concierge looked a little off this morning she went to do her "thing".  She came home, however, while it was still light out and she was blazing like a candle.  She was so hot I couldn't even snuggle up to her.  She didn't bother to take us for a walk and instead passed out on the couch amidst kitties and blankets and Bertie.  Our walk was with Harry's concierge and the helper who took us in shifts for our evening constitutional while Riley and the cats monitored the concierge.  Did I mention she smelled of barnyard animals on top of everything?  Yeah, horses, pigs, Alpacas, goats, donkeys who knows what else.... no dogs or cats though...
So we got a walk, even if it was late-ish and not the bog as I had hoped when I heard the concierge drive up.
So, may you take your expectations and make them grateful salutations regardless of the outcome....

Keeping Cozy in the Chilly Weather....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it is going to be slim pickins' tonight.
The concierge reports shivering, sore throat  and headache today so I doubt she is up for a long discourse on my day.  She agreed to a few minutes of her time before she turns in.... I would ask the helper, but I have watched him type, he only uses one finger, I don't have time for that!!
So, it was a bright and sunny day.
But, according to the concierge it was 28 degrees this morning and again this evening... so we are barking winter cold, not fall cold.  It is an electric blankie night, forget the three dogs!
We did walk to the school.  It was uneventful.  Nothing remotely exciting.  Harry's concierge did think Harry snagged a sandwich or chicken chunk, but upon careful scrutiny by the concierge in flashlit conditions,
it was determined he was clear.
He was rather put out by the assault to his physical self and his character.  The concierge is not remorseful and figures he needs to get over it.....
So, may you find warm layers to enfold you to keep you from the chill of the world's cold.

woodpeckers and crabby pants, the fun never ends....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, I need to add-on something from Gabriella's two days....
The concierge seemed to mis-transcribe something....
So.....
Add a pileated woodpecker to the list of her Sunday happenings. ... she was very excited at the siting, I don't know how the concierge could omit such a detail!?!  She includes the dead eviscerated pheasant, and misses the live big woodpecker.....
Go Figure....
Day two of the new schedule, the concierge says there are 21 more to go....  I hope we all make it....!  She is being a bit of a grumpy crab pants.... everyone but Riley and myself got in trouble tonight.  Pretty big trouble.  No treat kind of trouble.  Riley and I got some cookie crumbs at least....!
There has been some irritable activity around couches and laps and Raphael and Bertie took turns in lock up tonight....!  Tessa came close, but just squeezed past the punishment...!
Harry left a huge present on the stairs this afternoon too....
He didn't get into trouble, but I bet he is going to have to endure something awful when he gets home.  Some sort of home remedy for boys who seem tricky enough to poop mid-stairway... I am kind of impressed actually.  Don't tell the concierge though, she will get all aggravated about that next and I will probably get some unsavory treatment!!
At least it was on the wooden stairs, that's much easier to clean than rugs.
It seems like everyone is having something going on!
Harry's concierge feels crappy, the helper didn't even walk with us because he felt so crappy, Harry must not feel so hot to make a mound on the stairs.
Lots of others too.
Oh, and since I commented that chairs are at a premium here, Snagglepus and Sophie have joined forces to conserve the resources....
So, may you collude with a friend when your purposes align....

Sleep, gadgets, and new routines....

Hi G-Fans!
It is me again.
The concierge started her new early morning routine that will go on for a few weeks,  So, no snuggling in bed for any extra amounts of time for a bit.
When she got home she seemed regular, so I will keep a close eye on her to make sure everything is a-ok.
We sniffed her thoroughly today and she checked out, so, so far so good.
The rain made for a dreary day and we would have liked a walk, but we are ok without one considering the nasty weather.
The helper is out helping the old babysitter tonight because he has to sleep over at the doctor's office.  Something about gadgets and snoring.
So, not much to write on a damp and dreary day.
Oh, except that Gabriella was pretty woozy from her procedure today.  But she is sporting some snazzy pearly whites now....
So, may you take the time to snuggle with loved ones on days like today.
TTFN!
