Getting to our Stroll in the park.....

Hi G-Fans!
The close to another weekend.
Awwww.
Today was sunny and mild.
It was in the 50's which felt very nice to us.
We were geared up for a forest walk and the Helper was going to have us go in his van, I was a little scared to tell you the truth, so when it didn't pan out, I was pretty relieved.
You'll never guess how we got to the forest - yes, we went to the forest - it wasn't the concierge's first choice, but she loaded us up in the swanky untouchable vehicle.
We were swimming in space.
We made sure to leave our mark, we moved the covering so we could get as much hair on the rug backing as we could.  The concierge was very irritated with us.  I told her we went easy on her, we could have scratched up her leather seats.  (Raphael tried twice, he didn't have enough time on either occasion to make any headway.)
I will say that the concierge was pretty irritable.
She said the cat was acting out and being a complete beast.
I say, "What else is new?"
She has been rather relentless for the last few days (Sophie).
Anyway, because it was so nice the concierge wanted to avoid the bog scene at all cost.  So, the untouchable was touched.
I am sure lots of other things happened today, but that 's all I am good for.....
I wish all a good night and sweet dreams to carry you through.

Dilemmas.....

Hi G-Fans!
So, A brisk and sunny Saturday.
We went through several dicey gauntlets on our walk today and without issue.
This makes life so much less dramatic.
We went to the bog because the royal transport is still AWOL.
And, it looks like it might be permanently removed.  I overheard the concierge talking and it sounded like the prognosis is terminal and irreversible.  No amount of creative problem solving sounds like it will fix it.
Now what am I suppose to do?
I can't be without wheels!!!
Now, I watched the concierge (with help) remove all the work-related boxes and bags from the untouchable vehicle.  But, how many will bet on the concierge allowing us to start using that as our transportation?!?
I find the odds to be dicey.
But, one never knows...
The next question is.... what happens to our beloved wheels now?  It is yet another loss in our lives... and this one directly impacts the quality of my life....
Oiy!
On another note, the concierge ditched us twice today.  First before the walk, and then after the walk.
You would think it was a work day with the schedule she followed today.
Well, we got through it and we are now resting very comfortably, we even shared movie time, I fell asleep as it didn't have any dogs, cats, birds or other creatures of interest in it.  I don't know how the concierge can stay awake with movies without anything very fascinating in them.  Luckily she doesn't watch too many these days.
So, may find intriguing ways to spend your time when not otherwise engaged.

Whoopee!

Hi G-Fans!
So, it is the close to another human work week.
Big Deal.
There is no celebration going on from my vantage point.
I got a stinky nighttime walk and to tell you the truth I can't even remember if we went to the school or not.
Big Deal.
Whoopee.
And probably I will be seeing some cleaning tomorrow since those workers aren't coming to dust the place up again next week.  There's probably going to be moving of things and grunting and groaning too.
Oh yeah.
Whoopee.
I do expect a decent walk, but without the royal transport how much can I be satisfied of that expectation??
And WHAT is she doing about THAT anyway?
There are so many questions and so few answers...
So unsatisfying.
So, I will keep you posted.
What else can I do?
May you have a Whoopee sort of day with all the bells and whistles that encourages to pop out of bed and do it all over again the following day.....
Just sayin'...

OOOH - WHAT A NIGHT!

Hi G-Fans!
OOOH - WHAT A NIGHT!
Truly - a wild one!!!
First of all we didn't get a walk because of the rain.
So, then we went to bed regularly enough, but at some point after that the concierge and I were woken up by Raphael scratching madly in the kitchen.  The concierge thought he was after the cat, a cat toy or he was dreaming.
WRONG!
When we went down to investigate the concierge was greeted by a very awake and hyped up Raphael.
So, she let us out in case there was a digestive problem going on
(and she hoped there was no critter involvement - like a skunk).
The air was warm and the wind was wild.
Then the concierge left me down stairs as if I was some sort of commoner and let Raphael into the royal boudoir....
Ridiculous!  Just for some hurricane force type winds....
He tried to settle down, but he kept pacing and panting.
The concierge was fighting an urge to panic given the last six to nine months of heartbreak.
She finally came down and slept on the couch, well, tried to.... until the rain started in earnest he continued to pace and pant.  There was thunder, lightning and lots of windy rain.
There was a few hours sleep collected for the concierge last night.
Not much though.
Raphael says he is pretty tired too.
And we had the workers one more time.
Tessa peed she was so emotional.
Oiy!
So, we did get a walk tonight, it was a tad misty, but nothing of note.  There was even some sun during the day and very balmy temperatures.  Just in time for spring!
So may you keep your eye on the prize and make good choices along the way.

Is it Spring Yet?

Hi G-Fans!
Is it spring yet?
I can't tell because it got so warm today and the birds are sounding spring-like and there are spring-like smells in the air...
It was pretty drizzly and overcast all day today, but I was pretty sure we were getting a walk.
Psyche!
The concierge completely psyched me out on that.
She even went so far as to change her clothes to convince me of her ruse.
I think Raphael is very disappointed.  More so than the rest of us.  He has been working much harder than the rest of us, being on the 'front line' for months now.
Today the workers didn't come, but Sophie was crated up anyway because the concierge didn't know.
The concierge released her at lunch when she realized that no one was coming.
She also grumbled something about listening to an inordinate amount of country music that was unnecessary.  She asked Sophie which was worse...
Being crated unnecessarily or listening to country music for several hours unnecessarily?
You know what Sophie said.
She said crated, because she had to endure both.
Point taken.
SO, no walk, no workers, no extraordinary events to share.
Just the brown truck delivery guy that makes Raphael lunge when we are walking and he drives by us.
The concierge says that is ridiculous since he usually is bringing us cookies and stuff.
Raphael doesn't care - he says he is hard=wired to be like that.
So, may your hardwires prove to be beneficial to your well-being and stature in life.

Some spring-time tussling back when I was a fresh young-thing....

Royal Transport Dilemma

Hi G-Fans!
Well, we got a short night time walk and with a little drizzle.
Nothing much to report, but, as always, better than nothing.
The guys came and continued working on our royal abode.
We are getting pretty used to them, now, instead of yelling at them, we groan.  That means they are "in"...
So, today's news is about the royal transport.
It isn't good.
The official guy reported that the part alone to fix the royal vehicle is nearly worth more than the vehicle itself.
So, then, what is a concierge to do?
She is looking into alternative ways to repair our wheels so it is safe and operable.
The jury is out on that option.
I will keep you posted.
So, until then, it looks like neighborhood walks or bog walks.
Unless the concierge relents and clears out her vehicle and allows us to use that.
Who will lay a bet on that happening?
So, may you fondly reminisce those things that brought adventure into your life, that may no longer be available....

There's no place like home....

Hi G-Fans!
Have you ever had a throw-up burp?
I think humans have them more than dogs.
We either throw-up or we don't.
We either burp or we don't.
We generally don't mix the two together.
And generally, if we do burp and then throw-up, we just consider it a bonus.
Like how cows ruminate.
It is like a warm snack!
Hmmm,
How did I get here?!?
I wanted to write about walking on a weekday, in the sun, on a bright blue filled sky and spring sounding bird songs surrounding us....
And it was just Raphael and I.
It was lovely.
Bertie and Tessa said they had a lovely walk too.
They said from the sniffs they had that we walked the same route too.
Let me tell you - the pond was looking mighty inviting..
There were lots of footprints around the pond too....
The concierge swears that she saw prints in the ground from a Fisher Cat and we found piles of feathers that suggested a bird of sorts met their demise in that location....
We also saw more horse prints from the loose horse(s) from the other day.  We don't know if the horses were all collected up or not and if the seven that got loose Thursday are connected with the one that was being looked for on Saturday by the police..... So many unanswered questions..... even our noses can't tell us the answer to that.....
Tessa says it is no fun to be disoriented and looking for home, she hopes they are safe and sound by now.
So, may your compass always point "home" and may you never stray too far away.
Remember, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home..."
