Proper attitude...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, not as warm as yesterday, but not as wet either.  Although, the morning was pretty darn cloudy, but it cleared up nicely and we spent the later part of the morning outside with the concierge and Snagglepus as they sat in the sun, Snagglepus snoozing and the concierge using that annoying device that distracts her all the time.
The concierge was hoping to make up to Snagglepus, she side swiped him with the tail end of her blanket and it swept him into the water bowl... poor kitty.
The concierge had some trauma today as well.
SInce she thought there was some squeaking noises last night and it is getting to be that time of the year when the temperature drops and creatures like mice start to head into sheltered spots, she decided to check the mice traps...
Nothing in the snap trap.
The electric one.... let's just say it took her gloves, a stick and paper towels to get what was in there out.
Even I say, "GROSS"!
So, the traps were wiped down and reset.
Tonight, Gabriella's concierge wanted to check out some stuff in the other basement.
You guessed it.
The snap trap had a freshly killed mouse since this morning.
I wanted to go see and help out, but I was shut out.
Sometimes I really question the concierge's judgment.
So, may you participate  in life's dilemmas with the proper equipment and attitude...

Cheerful hearts only...

Hi G-Fans!
We had a pretty wet first half of the day, but pretty nice temperatures.  As the day wore on it became increasingly pleasant and sunny.  Another Indian summer sort of a day...
The concierge was a pain today.
Not only did she clean, but she was irritable and short-fused.  Poor Harry bore the biggest portion of her wrath.  We kept giving him a version of the 'stink-eye' so he wouldn't keep doing the annoying maneuvers that was getting him in trouble, but he was oblivious and/or ignored us... So he got yelled at several times.  I think she should have given him something else other than a tongue lashing, as that was fairly ineffectual.
Maybe he needs some chamomile tea so he can relax...
Just sayin'....
So, we had a lot to bark about this evening.  The helper came with his helper to drop off some special food for the concierge.  Ten minutes later Gabriella's concierges arrived sans Gabriella, much to Tessa's delight.  And shortly thereafter Harry's concierge returned and we then went on a walk.
Nothing to report on the walk.
So, may you tackle your tasks with a cheerful heart despite your original plans.....

The new 'Normal'?

Hi G-Fans!
Well, I am starting to wonder what is going on around here.  A day that was full of promise fell flat on its face.
I had high expectations which included a daytime walk which didn't happen.  I am starting to wonder if this is the new 'normal'?
Where shall I begin?
Well, I did get a walk.  It was an evening, damp and shortened school walk.
Not meeting my expectations since the concierge wasn't working.
But, yet. she wasn't home much either.
She did a bum's rush lunch visit and only got home just in time to get dinner served.
She smelled a lot like the old babysitter with a few other smells.
Apparently the appointments set for tomorrow were moved up to today because of 'unforeseen' circumstances.
I guess the old babysitter relapsed and they were trying to keep him from being crated with doctors looking at him all hours of the day and night.
I guess I can be a bit gracious in that case.
But, I expect that tomorrow will make it up to me!?
I heard it is suppose to be balmy and some 'Indian Summer' weather is coming this way.  Unlike today which was cloudy and it became increasingly wet in the afternoon.  We managed to dodge the raindrops on our walk and just missed a deluge on last outs.  So that was good.
I also heard that there will be some cleaning tomorrow, I will work on distracting the concierge on that deal.
Even if I have to get her to do an errand or two for a little while.....
We will see how that goes in the morning.
Sometimes she gets pretty stubborn...
Also, she has started Sophie on her new food that is suppose to help her peeing problem.  The concierge held her breath when the bowl went down, and lo and behold she ate some right away!
Amazing!
That little cat can be difficult around food!
Oh, and another development I didn't tell you is that Harry's concierge is going on an adventure and we all have to call her Queen Clarion or Ree until she is back from the adventure.... it seems a little presumptuous to me, maybe not the 'Ree', but the use of 'Queen' in her name is pretty ill-advised in my estimation!
Apparently she is going to a place that has six foot mice and big headed dwarves running around and lots of noise and whatnot.  I don't think I will miss going on THAT trip!
SO, may you be flexible when it is advisable, and hang tough when it isn't..... and may you discern the difference with deadly accuracy....

Composure....

Hi G-Fans!
So, it was a day that went from brisk to pleasantly cool to very brisk again.
I told you that the concierge had some cockamamie idea that she would get us all up before the crack of dawn.  The only one to oblige was Raphael.  The rest of us said, "No thank you!  Beauty rest is more important!".
So, we didn't get up with her, but we did get up earlier than we wanted because she knows our weakness.
The breakfast dishes started filling up with a variety of ingredients and we all agreed that we should get moving after all.  I still can't believe we ate and had our morning constitutionals this morning before we normally get up to start our day!
And then we were left to cross our legs until early afternoon!  It was abuse in my opinion.  The concierge said there was nothing she could do and she apologized.  I think she meant it, but still, we had to wait a LONG time!
She told me tonight, since she had no time this afternoon to do anything but throw us our cookies, give us a potty break and shovel some food down her own throat before flying gravel sprayed the driveway behind her....
She told me that she was detained significantly at her appointments and she had more than her share of ordeal management and it will continue next week.  She said she hopes that all is cleared up on the next round of investigation.
I understand it will be impacting my Saturday.  Grrrr.
I guess if it clears everything up it will be worth it.
I know that the "vacation" days have filled up with things she hadn't planned on doing, I think that is making her grumpy too....
She also heard back on Sophie and apparently she is going on some kind of special diet... the concierge isn't too sure if she will take to it, but if she doesn't there will be ongoing issues with her peeing.  So we are all going to encourage Sophie in our own way to get with the program....!  Who knows, maybe she will slim down to her target weight....
Ok, the concierge has had a LONG day and has asked me if I could wrap it up....
So, may you maintain composure in the face of challenging situations.
TTFN!

Live in your NOW!

Hi G-Fans!
I will make this quick, as I understand I am getting a very, very early start to my day and there is no way around it.
So, It was pretty brisk today and this evening the helper created a fire again and I enjoyed it most thoroughly.
After we all ate there was a walk around the school.
No excitement, and good thing too, since the concierge was inattentive while she yakked on the phone the ENTIRE walk and ignored ALL of us!
Something to do with the old babysitter, AGAIN!  That is what is getting old!
There should be plans for awesome walks this week and I am only hearing of horrors of cleaning, costumed children begging for food (why is it cute for them to do it and not me? Shouldn't they be trained better?) and visitors.
Of course, Bertie is very excited because it his beloved human coming for a visit and he only got a whiff of her last week.  This week he will actually get some hands-on lovin' from her.
Oh, there will be some whining.
And towel presentations.
And whatever else he thinks up.
That Bertie.
Oiy.
So,
May you pour out the "cute" for not only your favs, but for everyone else too.  Live in your now!

Writing fireside....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it was a funny sort of day weather-wise.  We had dramatic clouds and a variety of clouds and some points where it was completely overcast and then we had sunny patches and a colorful sunset and then a huge moon poking around the clouds.  We walked the forest in a new connection of trails but not exactly all familiar either, which we enjoy, of course!  So many smells!!  MmMmMmM!
We did have a significant scare I should share.
While walking on a narrow path the concierges and helper noticed something in the distance.  None of us what we were a few years ago and so none of us could really tell what it was.  Someone thought it looked like a bear cub... which made the concierge go to the Fishercat in her thoughts.
They all made Harry's male concierge go and check it out while we hung back.
He threw some stuff at it and it didn't seem to be too affected by it all.   And that would be because it was a dark log.
All that activity stirred up by a lump of wood!
Amazing.
So, that was the most excitement in the walk.
The rest of the day was pretty relaxed.  It was a typical Sunday.
I will say, and don't tell the concierge I wrote this, that Bertie and I feel much better since the concierge brushed our beards and cut out the nastier mats last night.
Nice!
So, may you spend appropriate amounts of time grooming your presentation!

Dignity and Patience

Hi G-Fans!
Another crazy day at the royal abode.
The concierge had a look in her eye all week that had me concerned.
She seemed pretty tense.
Well, tonight she is more "chill", but all week that wild look could have meant trouble.
But, I guess she is on the other side of whatever was going on.
The old babysitter is back home, Sophie has more tests awaiting results, several obligations have been met and hurdled, my dangling thingy on my leg is now gone (good riddance!) and now the concierge gears up for some quality time with us starting mid-week.
I do know she has some appointments this coming week that have to do with all that junk that went on last year.  Apparently it is a year since she went through so many tests, surgeries and whatnot...
So, she hopes to have that behind us...
Now, what made today crazy?
Well, the concierge and Harry's concierge blew out of here behind schedule.  They made the sandwich drop-off time, Sophie's sample was dropped off in time.  The funeral was attended.
We had a bog walk that was fraught with gauntlets.  Runners, children, adults with dogs (leashed) and Halloween decorations that were pretty scary all added to some ruffled hairs and mouthiness.... but no crisis:)
Then amidst tissue paper and cards there was another blow out but this time it was the helper and concierge to make it to a double birthday.  They were significantly late.
Then they were late for our dinner, luckily Harry's concierge took pity on us and got us a potty break and dinner.
So, we didn't suffer horribly.
But then when she slipped into her multiple layers of night clothes she decided it was a good time to torture Bertie and me with face brushing and removal of knots and little seed pods attached to our faces.  It was worse for Bertie since I went through this more recently than he had, so he had lots more knots.
Now we get to enjoy the fire and relaxing before we turn in for the night.
SO, may you suffer through the uncomfortable demands of life with dignity and patience.

No joie de vivre!

Hi G-Fans!
Another brisk fall day with some lovely sun as well as some clouds.
There was all sorts of activity today.
Sophie had to go to the Dr. because she won't give up her pee.
I say just let it fly, no use in taking an unnecessary and unpleasant trip...
And it turned out to be unnecessary and unpleasant.
She was there six hours, forced fluids and still no samples for the doctor.
Harry's concierge did all the heavy lifting.  She brought her, picked her up, and then set her up for another round of separation.  But Sophie has her own peeing agenda.
She let it fly in the carrier when Harry's concierge drove into the royal driveway.
So then the concierge finally came home and she chased Sophie around for awhile and then finally caught some more sample that will have to be dropped off tomorrow.
We did get a walk, but it was done just to get it over with.
I sensed no joy.  No joie de vivre!
And upon our return the concierges started a production line in exotic sandwiches for some human gathering tomorrow noon.  Plus the concierge and the helper are dashing off for an afternoon soiree, and I wasn't invited!
And "sandwiched" in there the old babysitter was sprung from his confines today, Gariella's concierge helped out on that escape....
So, may you create your own agenda and activity goals so you are not reliant on others for fun.

It's always something...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, another bum's rush entry, and basically because the concierge thought playing cards over tea and cookies superseded my need to make my comments.  Oh contraire!
Anyway...
We did a school walk in the dark after the concierge stuffed her gob.  Instead of going right when she arrived home.
There was all sorts of rearranging of schedules.
Harry's concierge came early to lock Sophie up in preparation of getting her check-up tonight.
She peed anyway, so there was no "bladder" for the vet to get a sample from....
The concierge was told it has to be done a certain way and that the pee in the tub wasn't sufficient.
Then, after waiting a few minutes for the person on the other end of the phone to come back, the concierge decided to make use of her time.
She rinsed the tub, sprayed bleach and as she was doing a final rinse the lady on the other end of the phone came back and said that the tub sample could be used for the re-check....
Ugh.
Now the concierge has to figure out the best way to get another sample so Miss Sophie doesn't have to go to the vet later next week..Oiy vey!
The list of frustrations and obstacles continue...'
But, it is what it is...!
So, may you have smooth sailings as y
ou move through your day...

Catch your breath....

Hi G-Fans!
Just a quick check-in, the concierge has me on a short leash of time because it is so late.
To update you:
Sophie will be getting a recheck tomorrow night and will be secluded for a few hours before her appointment so there is enough of a "sample" to use for testing...
Snagglepus had a nice nap on the couch tonight after our dinner and walk with the concierge....
Bertie is still getting ear treatments for his yeuchy ears....
I no longer have a dangling thing banging on my back leg because of what the concierge did to it... it came off sometime yesterday into the bandaging she had trussed me up with... it was gross according to the concierge... I thought the smells were very intriguing.... but the area is all pink and healthy looking, so I think there will be no more bloody messes on the royal bedding....
The old babysitter continues to sit in the hospital, but is doing better, it is unclear if he is out of the woods, despite the concierge doing phone check-ins and showing up when there is a spot in her schedule, in the case of tonight, really late.... after my dinner and it made my walk to the school really late....
Referring to which.... the walk was a little exciting as we monitored a "cat and mouse" game of police cars and other cars... we were a little nervous as to what the whole story was, but we were able to do our walk safely and no shots rang out on our watch....
So, that is the catch-up....
May you find the time to catch your breath in a deep and meaningful way whenever necessary....

Act diligently at all times...

Hi G-Fans!
Well, there was a school walk tonight, so that's an improvement over yesterday.  I also did not bleed all over the freshly laundered blanket from last night, so that is an improvement for the concierge.
There was no cancelled appointments, there was a bum's rush lunch, but an extra out with Harry's concierge before dinner and the helper is back from his escapades.
So, overall a better day than yesterday for me and for the concierge.
So, tonight, Snagglepus was not sitting in a good place, so he got a partial bath in the bathroom.  As far as cats go he tolerated it excellently, but I guess that is what happens when you feel like crap....
Just sayin'
Speaking of that...
The old babysitter is feeling much perkier according to the concierge, but he was really sick and is not out of the woods entirely... he is a tricky human....
According to the concierge the next few days are going to be quite busy.... I had better not suffer because of it... that is all I have to say on that....
SO, may you know, that despite your trials, you will find relief if you just wait them out and act diligently at all times...

S.N.A.F.U.

Hi G-Fans!
Well, where to start with the day?
To start with we had no walk today, and we had a bum's rush lunch.  At least Harry's concierge came and rescued us for dinner and then hung out with us so we weren't left alone and abandoned all night.
The concierge left in a poof as usual, but in mid-morning.  She said something about the old babysitter and a doctor's appointment, but I wasn't really listening.
So, when she came back smelling like plastic, chemicals, rubbing alcohol, and lots of human-type odors, most of them being rank, I was disgusted.
She threw some treats at us and then she whirled around and left, muttering something about beds, nurses, tubes and needles.  Again, I wasn't really listening, I was looking for any missed treats....
Next thing I know it is Harry's concierge waking us up for dinner.... I can't believe I slept that soundly!
I figured the concierge would be coming back soon to walk, but, alas, I was dead wrong.
She came back alright, but she was dragging what might have been her butt at one time.  Tessa did a thorough sniffing of her.  She reports that the smells are that of a human vet hospital and of the old babysitter, and that sour smell he gets when he gets sick.
At the very least we could have done a block walk... the blanket from my bloody mess from this morning has been washed and cleaned and the nasty area on my leg was all bandaged up again tonight (the concierge re-bandaged it an hour ago... along with her other "must dos")...
I am sure there are other complications of the day that I am not recalling, but this is it for tonight...  The concierge is cutting me off -
SO,  May you rise to the occasion in whatever way the occasion warrants...

Engaging Activities....

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it was quite a brisk and sunny/cloudy Autumn day...
We had a woods walk that I almost chose to decline.
There's this thing the concierge is trying to eradicate from my appendage (with the Dr.'s recommendation) in a very medieval way, I don't know if I approve.  Raphael would.
Anyway, it seems to be working, but it is making me uncomfortable, so I was limping the second part of the day.
On the walk, however, nary a limp from my direction....
Hmmmm....
I guess I am glad I chose to go.
There were lots of great sniffs, no drama to recall...
Before going to bed I made sure I gnawed on the stuff the concierge wrapped the area with so it would make a lovely decoration throughout the rooms....
The concierge wrapped it again, she said it was either that or no royal boudoir for me...
Imagine...
She has the audacity to make such edicts...
TO ME!!??
Guess what she's going to find in the morning on top of the royal mattress?
HMMM?
I bet YOU can guess!!
So, may you find something to fill your day that is so engaging that you forget your aches and pains of the day....

Nope, it is still not working, even when I stare at the screen....

Don't just smell the roses, feel the sunshine....

Hi G-Fans!
Finally!!
I have been waiting to not only do the blog, but get to the royal bedchambers for hours!
The concierge hung around the royal abode for nearly the entire day.
That would had been fine if she relaxed, hung out, played with us, etc.....
But, NOT to clean!
Which is mostly what she did.
Until she flew out of here for the better part of an hour when we should have been walking already.
She came back with some funny looking packages that were fairly uninteresting.
No sooner had she gotten those into the royal abode  than she slapped the harnesses on our snouts and was loading us into the royal transport vehicle.
Now we were running against the setting sun.
The decision to go to the walk we did last week when we ran into the old guy on the bicycle with the dog on the leash that we watched go by from the royal vehicle when we were unceremoniously shoved back in when the concierges caught wind they were oncoming...
This week we heard some noises in the distance.
That was the extent of our excitement.  That is, of course, aside from all the great smells....
When we returned to the domicile our supper was thrown at us (practically, anyway) and the concierge blew out of here with the helper, only to return a couple of hours later.
So, that is it, in a nutshell, my day.....
So, may you find time in your busy day to stop and feel the warm sunshine on your face.
TTFN!
