Enjoy the tidbits....

Hi G-Fans!
Not so great for a Saturday.
First off the rainy day put a damper on things in general.
Secondly there was no leisurely morning ritual.
The concierge blew out of here and almost left Harry's concierge behind to fend for herself.
That is COLD!
I said my goodbyes to Gabriella's concierges and then waited and waited and waited for my walk.
I got one, but it was on the edge of marginal.
I got to the bog's edge and then was turned around and marched back up and to the royal retreat.
Of course, everyone else was too, but it is more distressing I was given the shaft....
Such disrespect to my station in life.
Nothing of note to report on the walk.
The drizzle held off and the concierges got overheated because they were wearing heavy duty rain suits to keep dry...
I will say, we have had a multitude of special tidbits over the last couple of days, so I can't complain completely, although they could be bigger samplings and more of them... but, we are getting something anyway.
I have to report that I have been blockaded from the social arena on more than one occasion over the last several days, and I will say it is NOT right.
It is so disrespectful.
Like I am some common dog or something.
It is ridiculous really.
Well, I am getting the stink-eye (or is she just falling asleep at the keyboard?)...
So, may you enjoy the unexpected tidbits in life with gusto....

Do you see this?  This is what MY breakfast should look like!  But with more bacon.  Way more bacon!

Seashore treasures found on the walk I was excluded from yesterday.

Sharing is Caring

Hi G-Fans!
The concierge said to make this quick because there is no leisurely morning tomorrow with her.
So, I did get a walk with the gang and we did a little twist to an old favorite.
This was in sunny balmy weather.
Crazy weather for this time of the year.
The concierge and Gabriella's concierges made all of us crazy this morning by making really good food smells in the kitchen.  There was a little bit of sharing, but not enough to suit my tastes!
And and they repeated the same torture, different infusion of smells, this evening.
Oiy!
So, may you be aware of the effect you have on those around you and include them in your process.
Don't be stingy!!

Signature Scent...

Hi G-Fans!
Another Thanksgiving come and gone and I don't feel I was included adequately in any celebration... It feels like discrimination is what it feels like.
I like turkey too you know!
I did get some special chicken broth in my meals today and some special farm hard salami as a treat in addition to my regular yummy treats.
I also would like to point out that I did not chew any cans or sponges whilst the concierge was off to areas unknown (to me)... but, then, I wasn't allowed in the kitchen area while she was away.
But, that isn't the point...
Our walk was to the bog and it was in the morning during daylight hours!  Amazing.
It was also like grand central station with the amount of human and canine foot traffic we had to work around.
All in all everyone was on the same page to keep things moving and without drama, so dog owners took ownership of their  beasts and routes were coordinated so we could all accomplish a Thanksgiving day ritual of a walk.
Then, tonight, while we were relaxing by the wood stove, Gabriella's concierges arrive out of nowhere and after the birds' bedtime, so it was late, but before "cookies" so it wasn't really late.  We, of course, sounded a four alarm alert, but then we settled down fairly quickly once we attached our noses to Gabriella's concierge's coat to get good whiffs of what she has been up to recently.  Some pretty interesting smells I might write.  So, it was worth the shake-up from our reverie....
So, that is it in a nutshell....
Oh, and another thing, there has been de-scentifying going on all week!
That is making me very irritable.
So horrifying!
Beds, floors, couches, towels, bowls, etc., you name it, she has laid paws on it with some sort of cleaning device....
So annoying!
What are we if we don't smell?
So, may you revel in your total signature scent without apology!

Happy Turkeys now that the day is to a close!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi G-Fans!
This is entry #1190 if you can believe it!
I know it is hard for me to believe it!
But, there are little people inside this box that have abacuses that keep track of these things....!  Really!
So, Harry is blissfully returned to his own castle, I am sure he is going to have a VERY deep and relaxed sleep tonight...  no worrying if a cat will be creeping up on him unexpectedly or some other unplanned event occurring while asleep in the forbidden chair....
Before returning he got a school walk without myself or Raphael, as we went on a daylight bog walk.  And when I say "daylight" I mean, it started out at sunset and got progressively darker... but it was a full moon tonight and it was very bright, so it almost seemed like daylight or at least a continuation of dusk....
And let me tell you that it was a cold day today!  Brrr!
So, in light of a holiday I can get on board with, Happy Thanksgiving, may your blessings be many and your challenges be manageable!

These were not from today, our little toesies would have frozen off had we gone to the pond today....!

Late breakfast and future chaos...

Hi G-Fans!
So, it was a clear and sunny day, but really nippy!  I was glad to have my portable fur coat on today!
The concierge was remiss in her morning duties, she served us breakfast at least an hour or an hour and a half late.
I will admit, however, that she got up early and let us out to do our morning constitutionals and slipped me some goodies before  returning to the royal boudoir.  She let Raphael snooze with us in the royal bed until breakfast time.
He wasn't antsy so I am o.k. with that.  He did, however, try to hog the concierge's legs, which bugged me more than I let on... one can't always let others know what is what for oneself, now can one?
:)
Anyhoo, despite the poor start to the day, and the concierge changing the routine up like I wrote yesterday, we did end up with a forest walk.  It was close to sunset so it wasn't a really long one, but one we hadn't been on in awhile and the smells were really good!  Really good!
And Harry was pretty good too, so that makes things more fun as well.
In fact the last two walks he was a little more part of the "groove".
Not saying more than that though!
Harry is Harry after all!
I understand the concierge has no plans to leave the domicile tomorrow, that could be good, but I suspect it might not be as good as I might like...!
I heard cleaning and organizing!
Not usually good in the same sentence.... much less in separate sentences!
Oh, and the concierge came home with stuff that goes on the floor to make a floor, think we night be in trouble!
I think there is some chaos in our near future....
I hope not, but it isn't looking good....
So, may you clean and organize regularly, so it is a minor task in your life.....

Clyde the little piggy....

Hi G-Fans!
Brrrr!
COLD!
Those towels, rugs and beds that were left out Saturday night?
Instead of drying they froze!  We won't be getting those babies back for awhile!
That will teach the concierge to clean so late in the day!
I hope.
And because of that frigid air tonight's walk was pretty fast paced even in the dark!  The moon, however, was quite luminescent tonight and the helper wore his head lamp, so there was plenty of light and nothing creeping up on us.
Harry, Raphael and I got some big encouragement too.  We pretty much ignored two people on their front steps across the street from where we were walking.  We didn't bark, we didn't grumble, there was some significant head whipping, but nothing else of note.  The concierge was quite encouraging towards us from that.
At least we got recognized for SOMETHING!
She left this morning like she was working and didn't get back until late into the lunch hour.
But, we got some good treats (shrimp!) and a little brief snuggle time before she took off for another couple of hours.
But then she was home for good, so I guess my grumbling needs to be limited....!
Tomorrow she already told us that we are having an upside down day.
She'll let us out mid-morning and come back mid-afternoon.
She said she may even take us on a bog walk in two shifts.
We will see what else creeps into her "to-do" list and see if that is an option or not...
So, may you aim high and practice, practice, practice....

"Clyde" the guinea pig.....
How cute is he?

Harry passed out at the fire.... Sophie keeping watch....

Me, having my relaxation interrupted with the paparazzi!  So annoying!  It can be challenging to have adoring fans.  It is more work than you would think!  It is also a big responsibility...

Soggy doggies, waterlogged concierge and oh-so-dry helper

Hi G-Fans!
Well, today was a wet one.  It still is....
We've been looking at raindrops and grey skies all day and now we are listening to them as they hit the roof , remaining leaves in the trees and the skylight window....
The concierge did not know there was rain coming.
She is grumpy again.
She left our less aromatic (or more, depending on your perspective....) beds along with the rugs and towels waiting to be shaken outside yesterday....
Oh, she is not pleased!
And there is some sogginess in the basement too.  Snagglepus dumped his rather large waterbowl down there and it was, according to the concierge, a bugger to get cleaned up.
So, we did do a forest walk, the helper was enticed to walk and he wore his rain gear that the concierge hooked him up with....  she, on the other paw (hand in her case) did not wear or have a rain suit to don.
She was soaked.
Us doggies did not have rain suits to don either.
We were soaked.
Soggy doggies.
And a waterlogged concierge.
She is hoping it is done by tomorrow, she.s making another trip to Boston for a follow-up on the follow-up....!
I think we are getting a bum's rush tomorrow since she two more obligations tomorrow, not including us....
We will see what sanctions I will have to impose for any perceived neglect!
I will keep you posted...
We have been waiting for a break from those little drops from the sky and it seems to be steady and maybe getting a bit worse, so it looks like we are going to be wet, again!
So, May the weather not thwart you in your forward progression1

Here is Harry making himself comfy with some pillows on a forbidden chair.....

Here I am after today's walk!  It tuckered me out!

Insult to Injury!

Hi G-Fans!
Oh, insult to injury!
So, yes, we had a nice make-up walk, but amidst a deep cleaning tornado, and it is only part-way done according to the concierge.  So, really, what is a royal princess to do?
And, on top of that, there was more concierge attitude that I did NOT appreciate!
She was grumpy again.
She not only yelled at us, she roared at us.
Most of us know to stay out of the way and mind our p's and q's when that is the scenario.
Harry is oblivious.
When the concierge glares at us when we bark through the window. at our neighbor just doing regular stuff.... we simmer down....
Not Harry.
Oh, does that instigate things into a higher level!
She roared at him.
Literally.
It gave her laryngitis!
Not kidding!
He got the message though...
We will see for how long.
Back to the cleaning mess.... We not only have some of our rugs on the deck still, but some of our beds didn't pass the sniff test and weren't allowed to enter either.
So, I heard there will be vacuuming and laundry running tomorrow....
SO, more to come.
I was told that there will be another good walk and next week should have some other good walks as well as the concierge will be around more.
So, we will see how things go.  Especially now that the concierge spent too much time typing for me when she should have been sleeping.
So, tend to your rest, it makes your brain work better (and moods too!)

oh - so not ok!

Hi G-Fans!
Oooh - I am SOOOOO ANGRY!
So, where to begin with why I am angry.....?
I guess I will start at the beginning of the day yesterday and see where that takes me....
So, the day started out normal enough.
Until some guy came to look at the dishwasher.....no... not the concierge!... the box thingy that eats up the dirty dishes and then spits them out clean the next day....
I'm not sure if he made us bark more or the guy from yesterday morning made us bark more.... I guess it is a toss up....
So, that was relatively short.  The tall and skinny of it is that the dishwasher (the boxy thing) is fine and the concierge had to pay someone to tell her that (and not in dog cookies, humans are so weird, he was happy with a tiny piece of paper, I would have held out for cookies).
So, then Harry's concierge let us out throughout the day and did our daily routine.
So, that was O.K..
And the helper came to give us dinner.
And that was O.K..
And then we waited.
That was NOT O.K..
And waited.
And then the helper left us.
And we waited some more.
More NOT O.K..
The concierge came home in a foul state.
In no small part to Raphael's efforts.
I did NOT, I repeat, I did NOT contribute to any of it!!
I am exonerated!
I was two rooms away.
Raphael did his annual shredding, this year it was cat scratching posts in the living room (which he has done more often than annual, just sayin').
It is the same room where he did the huge Christmas mess last year that required over-the-phone medical intervention, and it was almost a year to the day!
The helper forgot that Raphael can't be left in that room, especially in the evening....
So, we got no walk because the clean-up took the last shard of energy the concierge had left and she went to bed grumpy!
Oh - I didn't even tell you that the concierge smelled like a foreign dog, smelled STRONG of a foreign dog...
STRONG!
There had better not been any walking with THAT dog!
Ooooh, I am so mad!
There had better be a make-up walk today, that is all I can say!
So, may you hold fast to your dreams despite the interjections of others....

Pie, pie, glorious pie.... Where's mine?

Hi G-Fans!
So, just for the record for the umpteenth time, I can count....
Just sayin'...
I can count when Raphael gets two treats and I only get one, I can count when Tessa gets three kisses and I only get two...
So, I can count.
Tonight we walked to the school with Harry's boy concierge.  No drama and it was a pleasant temperature too.
So, you ask what that has to do with counting?
I will tell you what at the risk of my treats getting reduced in retaliation.
I know, it is hard to believe that I have to suffer through retaliation, but it is clear that it happens even in the royal environ....!
So Harry's girl concierge made a pie.
An apple pie.
One pie.
Then she left for her vacation with the rat.
Big Mouse.
Whatever.
She left instructions for Harry's boy concierge to share with my concierge and the helper.
Tonight he shared.
Now the concierge did question Harry's concierge about it taking four days to offer any pie up. but she kept it light so the pie didn't get whisked away....
So, she had her very late supper of leftovers, heated her piece of pie and wrapped the helper's piece in the fridge for tomorrow when he comes to feed us.
Well, let's just say he might not want to spend any time looking for it.
And, strangely enough, the concierge is looking a little wild-eyed right now because she has a belly full of food.
Right at the top of the food pile in her tummy is apple pie.
Not one slice.
But two slices.
I counted.
She ate the second with her tea and smacked her lips and licked her fork.
She didn't share with me.
Silly concierge.
When will she learn??
Anyway...
So, may you have the necessary facts at your toe-tips to back up your observations on a regular basis!
TTFN!
