Ah-HA!

Hi G-Fans!
Another funky very cool, somewhat cloudy with some sun spring day.....!
We did a night walk without night vision glasses or night goggles.
We survived.
Harry's concierge and the Helper both wore pretty questionable clothes in the concierge's opinion safety-wise.
She wasn't wearing orange or anything, but at least it wasn't dark colors!
Humans!
Where's Safety-Man when we need him?
No lights, no flashing safety gadgets, no protective gear, no brightly colored vests...
Man, what is up with THAT?
So, I thought the concierge was a bit irritable the last few days, and I thought it was because she has been...... drum roll please......... on the tired side (I know, isn't THAT news!?)
But, even the Royal Princess can take her time to arrive at an obvious conclusion.
It is because she is so sad and can't take the time to be so sad.
I am sad.
I miss Riley.
I would wait for him outside the door on the deck until he got his butt up to come out and go potty.
I would practically maul him.  He liked it.  It was fun.  It was my way of saying, "Hey, how's it going?  I missed you."
The concierge was always chastising me for being way too rough with him, I ignored her, he liked it.
Now I just feel like sleeping in.
It is just not the same around here.
At all.
I caught the concierge looking at the ashes on the counter.  I know, I checked them out too.
I saw her get emotional and it was right after we had all been given the business for being too rowdy and fresh.
I will admit, Tessa and Raph were being fresh, BUT, I do believe Bertie and myself were being quite polite and well behaved.
Ergo - we got treats first :)
Yeah baby!
Anyway...
May you have your AH-HA moments at the perfect moment so you are the most present at any given part of your day.
TTFN!

CHILL TIME

Hi G-Fans!
Let me be perfectly brief.
I am losing the concierge to the sandman, so I have a small window of opportunity.
There has been an unexpected level of outpouring of condolences from all walks of life for Riley's sudden passing.
We are talking family, friends and several doctors near and far....
Some are primarily human doctors too!
We all continue to mourn for him in our own way.
The cedar box with his name on it came in the house tonight.
I haven't sniffed it since it also came in with Italian tuna leftovers and chicken piccata leftovers were were much more alluring.  Not to mention getting the leashes out immediately for a walk.
So, we did a school walk with only potential issue with a very loud dog.
We opted for another route back to the royal domicile.
Oh, we spent the afternoon napping with Harry's concierge who apparently went in a white vehicle yesterday to that medicinal smelling place.  That is why we had Harry over for dinner last night and the concierge went over to check on the bunny at Harry's too.  Something about teeth extractions, medication reactions and not breathing.  It was bad!
So today we all rested.
Maay rest come regularly and in the right quantity.
TTFN!

Memory Lane

Hi G-Fans!
I thought I was going through the day with a missing body part!  And then I would remember that it was Riley who was missing.  We didn't have him bouncing up the deck stairs happy to start the day.  We didn't have him so deeply asleep we had to nudge him to wake up so he could go out with us.  He hasn't dissected a squeaky toy since he has gone deaf, but he liked to parade around with the best of us with stuffed toys in his mouth.  I had to eat breakfast and dinner alone.
Le t me tell you. That is not fun.
So there are other things that I miss as well.   But I am still so surprised he is gone.
The concierge didn't go pick up his ashes today, I hope she gets to it tomorrow.  I don't like thinking of him sitting and waiting for us to pick him up.
THings are just not normal around here.
So, nay you remind people regularly and frequently on how much you love them.
I know I did.
TTFN!
