Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Our plan went awry as to how the evening would go.
Work, of course, interfered with that for the most part (the concierge's work, of course).
The concierge worked until after supper so I knew a walk in the dark would be our constitutional.
Which it was.
It was relatively uneventful, but we skirted a rather lively house that could or could not be part of our foray.
What was not uneventful was after we returned.
As dishes were being organized there was a situation.
I don't want to get into it, but let me say it rattled the concierge and Raphael was put into serious time out.
Tess, Bertie and I stayed quiet and clear and watched.  Riley was blissfully sleeping.  Or, at the very least, tucked out of the way as well.
No one is sure exactly what happened.
Everyone has a different version.
All we know is Raphael flipped out on the cat.
The cat is ok, but not perfect.
As far as the exam revealed there is a single injury that we need to keep an eye on.  The concierge cleaned it out and treated it and Snagglepus proceeded to clean it out on his own, which really wasn't the best idea.  It seemed to make it worse.   So we all need to keep watch on it....
Never a dull moment...
We have Snagglepus in the royal chambers tonight with the door closed so there cannot be a repeat performance.
Snagglepus has eaten and is purring so we think he just needs a lot of tlc and time to heal.  Although a trip to the doctor might happen as well.  We will keep you posted.
So, may your new year, in all its shininess, bear full fruit in the promise of possibilities and new beginnings.
Make use of your moments fully and completely.
And happily.
TTFN!
