Do you know how cozy it is under this blankie squeezed between several human forms? VERY!
Hi G-Fans! Well, we are back in business for the most part. After the concierge returned smelling like soap and the sitter she was talking about several trucks they passed on the way home. They were hoping that the workers they saw would be getting the power to the house back on. They wagered what time they thought it would be. The first round of wagers were all wrong. Then Harry's human sister said within the hour we would get power, and sure enough that is what happened! There was much dancing and rejoicing in the kingdom. Even at that late hour. Then the birds were returned to their chambers. Heat was turned up. Candles put away. Cords gathered. Generators turned off. Fridges plugged into outlets. And hot chocolate was made in the microwave in celebration. Merriment was in the air. Although I miss the camaraderie, it was nice to have the concierge in the proper location in the Royal bed. It isn't fun to take the spot she uses if she doesn't come up to get aggravated by it. It is a let down. I have to say, I think she snored louder than I did last night. Today it rained starting in the morning. It was a sloppy mess. It helped some of the trees get rid of the heavy snow, so now Bertie and Raphael can't use them to make yellow snow bushes. The branches are back in the air instead stuck in snow in the ground. There are a couple of downed branches, one tree is bent waaaaaay over and another actually broke. So that will be another load of wood to manage for the concierge. I missed the wood stove today. It is soooooo cozy when it is on. Well, the concierge is being antsy, so I guess that is it for tonight. Enjoy some of the photos from the storm, inside and out :) May you find moments of peace amidst the crisis of life. TTFN! -G |
