Hi G-Fans!
Well, the concierge was thinking of some topics for me to write about tonight and between four present humans not one of them can come up with either topic. Believe you me, I would remember had I been in the car with them. They all were in agreement at how clever it would be of me to write of such things, and yet, not one of them can remember it.
Not One!
My concierge came up with the quippy ideas, but they all approved of them....
Ah, well....
On to more familiar and less esoteric (or so I assume) subjects.
Our walk today was in sunshine and less frigid conditions.
We only did our three-legged contortionist walking once or twice and that was in the beginning of the walk.
Tessa walked with Riley and I for most of the walk. She was poked in the neck and cuffed in the jowls a bunch of times because of her annoyingly incessant whining that set the concierge's teeth on edge and made the blood vessels in her neck pop up an pulsate. Riley hates it when that happens. He gets very anxious over that.
It turns out, however, that some of the worst whining was because she was trying to tell the concierge about a labrador retriever who was leashless on the bog with some youngsters. No issues came of it, I only wish I hadn't tuned Tessa out so thoroughly because I didn't know we were coming up on them either. Half of the tribe had already passed the situation by, but we brought up the rear with Harry, who, by the way (btw), was acting worse than Tessa for a good portion of the walk....
Just sayin'....
Once we passed the excitement, Tessa became much less annoying. She frequently is referred to the drama queen circus dog because of some of her leash walk maneuvers. It is pretty crazy. She does a lunging pirouette, landing facing the concierge.
Anyway.
The rest of the walk was rather uneventful.
Well, maybe not entirely.
Harry's concierge and Gabriella's concierge lamented at not having video on hand to capture my concierge flying on the ice. She went down on her sore hip and decided not to get up. Typical, Riley got worried and stood over her. Tessa was oblivious and had her eyes on something in the distance. I found it the perfect moment to do a neck dive and roll like mad in the snowy grass, While she lay on the slick snow dusted ice the concierge was making a fake snow angel on. She just didn't feel like making an effort to get herself up. But she did eventually.
She also applied Arnica to her hip and leg. She hopes it will help it heal faster.
I have to say, the concierge was a little grumpy to start with this morning. She was saying she was cranky because it was the only day she had that she could sleep until 7:30. This didn't happen and the concierge has put a gag order on any further discussion on the topic.
What I want to know is this.... Why do I get passed around like some common chattel? Is that anyway to treat royalty? Shouldn't I be handled witht he utmost regard? Seriously. I mean, where does the term. "Royal treatment"....? I was led to believe that meant extra special treatment...?
The concierge says it is because I need to share my unflappable spirit with more than her. So I try, but it isn't always easy. Apparently Raphael was being somewhat of a bull and the human walking him basically had enough of being pulled. So, the switch was made and I was able to show how a champion (albeit-spoiled champion) can walk on a leash without having to make huge issues at every corner, every shadow, every smell. Raphael was relieved to be walking side by side with Tessa (his usual walking companion) and he settled down quite well too.
So, all in all, we had a good walk. Maybe not one spectacular enough to make up for missing two days in a row.... but it is a start!
Ok Fans,
I am tired and need to retire!
TTFN!
