Happy First Day of 2013:)
Where to start?
I guess walks are always a good place to start.
We did a full bog walk today in the morning. The concierge then left for the afternoon. For fun? you ask? No, she had fun, but it was for work from her old job. So, now she is tired and being alternately rambunctious and popieish. But, we roll with it around here. We all take turns being poopie-heads.... on SO many levels!
So what was your resolution for this contrived holiday?
Mine?
I am a princess-dog. I am perfect. I need no changes with which to improve myself... I am svelte, delightful, gracious and delightful. What more could anyone want?
On to Snagglepus.
Did you know he likes to make beds?
Now, I would like to include some pictures of him doing this, but I don't actually have any. I CAN describe it from second-hand knowledge, as I haven't actually seen him do it. But I hear, ad nauseam, about how funny he is when he assists in making the royal chambers bedding. So, hang on, here I go....
First the concierge will pull all the coverings off the bed. Blankets, sheets, pillowcases, the works. Wherever Snagglepus is in the house, he will come running to the bed, pounce on it ready to assist in the clean layer application.
First the sheet with the elastics on it. He stays sandwiched between the mattress pad and that sheet with the elastics, creating a huge lump. The concierge tries to smooth the lump out so she can put the next sheet layer on. This makes Snagglepus wiggle across the bed on his back using his claws to dig into the fabric and drag himself across.
Then, he squirms out and stands on the top of the elastic-cornered sheet so he can get covered with the top sheet. That gets tucked in. Then, he again, army crawls upside down across the mattress while the concierge tries to smooth the "mysterious lump" out of the bed. Again he wiggles his way out of the layers and gets on top of the top sheet. This process repeats itself with each blanket layer and the cover layer. In the winter, this is a long process. Then, the end of the process is celebrated, usually, a Snagglepus "taco" swing made from the sheets and blankets headed for the wash. The concierge isn't convinced that Snagglepus loves this part of the process, as he emerges from the experience with very large and dilated eyes, but he doesn't jump out of the taco center either...
The included pictures are the closest I could get to show you the process.... Use your imagination and I will try to follow-up with actual pictures in the near future.
Happy 2013!
May even your most mundane tasks be given over to a sense of joy, humility and fun in the coming year.
TTFN!
