Hi G-Fans!
Well, another french-themed entry. Why you ask? Because I feel like it is my answer! I know that a Christmas theme would be more in line with this time of the year.... But..... the concierge has not put out our stockings or any of the twinkly lights so I am just not in the mood. In fact, none of those Christmas tunes have been in the air either. I guess her being sick is part of the issue. She is sitting by the wood stove, snuggled up to me and boy is she hot! I will have to do my Spinone mind-meld when she falls asleep so she can wake up without all the sniffing, coughing and sneezing. It is soooo distracting!
So, I have been thinking.
Even if I haven't been to France. And I speak better Italian than French, does that mean I can't appreciate the culture just as much? The French love dogs, not in the same way the Chinese like dogs either. They like us for who we are (not how we taste... Mon Dieu! How macabre!)
Anyway, as usual, I digress....
I think Rodin missed the boat by just doing kissing and beefy humans. And what about Degas? He did ballerinas and underbelly social fringe folks. And Monet. Did Monet ever do a decent series on dogs? Where's the art? Where's the love? Egypt made it clear how much they loved cats. Cats everywhere.... And the Hindu Indians are in love with the Brahmin cows..... WHAT ABOUT DOGS? Did the caves of Lascaux show a plethora of dogs? No, horses and other stuff.
I do protest.
Dogs.
Who, other than Steven Huneck (who tragically offed himself), will do right by dogs?
Who?
Think about it!
TTFN!

I can see he is at least thinking about my protest!
It is hard to tell what she might be thinking about. It could be dogs......
A last peek before losing sight of land.....
