| This is Harry as a snuggle-bunny, in non-escape mode. |
Hi there G-Fans!
There are big doings going on around here.
Not only did we get a full bog walk IN THE MORNING, but after that the mud was removed from the floors so we are having to start from square one again. Our dried slobber that we carefully fling onto all surfaces including the ceilings, was removed as well. Then there were potions being mixed and poured and dipped and tagged for hours and hours. Then there was an intermission for dinner.
But before we were fed the phone rang.
The concierge at the other end of the phone was wondering if Harry was helping us make Christmas goodies.
He wasn't.
Harry wasn't in his yard.
Harry wasn't in his house.
Harry wasn't in our yard.
Harry wasn't in our house.
Harry wasn't on our street.
Harry was gone.
So, before our meals were distributed two of the Christmas elves flew out of the house to look for Harry.
Since Raphael can be a stinker once the food is out, we were fed first, let out and then my concierge flew out of the house with TESSA! Not me, the highly trained and skilled Princess Spinone, but Tessa! My troglodyte daughter!
Unbelievable.
So, to recap...
1) The house was cleaned.
2) Harry had a bath earlier in the day and was clean and without a collar.
3 )Harry needed to be located.
(He reported later that he left the yard because the gate was open and he thought he saw puddy tat that needed help down the street...)
4) My daughter was enlisted to help locate Harry, his sister, not me, his mother!
Unbelievable.
Tessa said she was hot on his trail, nose plastered to the dark, wet ground when a car slowed down and Harry's concierge shouted that he had been collected! Tessa was well on her way in the right direction, but he was gathered up safe and sound before she was able to get to him.
Now, I am a little conflicted, as I am still mad that it wasn't me who was chosen to go find him and that the house was cleaned again.
But, at the same time, I am so proud that she understood what the concierge wanted her to do and she dove right into the task:)
So, I guess that is life.
Most things aren't a straight shot.
We just have to choose which direction should get the most energy.
In this case, I am going to break with my usual tradition and go with my pride in my daughter.
That feels the best :)
So, may you follow the path that leads you to better places.
TTFN!
-G
