Whistling Pigs

A pensive moment

Hi G-Fans!
Well, tonight Bertie wanted to write for tonight, but he is sleeping soundly since he had his cookies and isn't getting up anytime soon to do any writing.  So, I will be writing "without a net" as the saying goes.....
I will just say that Bertie wanted to express himself because Raphael and I went on a nice long bog walk and he, Tessa and Riley didn't get anything but yard time.  Yes, it can be likened to a prison around here.  We get yard time for good behavior....!  I get the walk because I do fresh things when I am left out.  Raphael gets first walks because he needs the most physical outlets.  The concierge was away all day and then went to another place for another while.  Even though we had attention from a variety of people, walks were at a premium.
Today we did an extra loop or two on the bog to make up for yesterday's lack of a walk (for the others).  It was a nice walk tonight, beautiful colors to the sky.  And last night the moon was again bright and beautiful.  The bank of moving clouds had their edges glowing from the moon's light.
But, I want to talk about whistling pigs.  Or also referred to as woodchucks or groundhogs.  After careful consideration the concierge and I agree that our mysterious visitor is a whistling pig.   It fits in all categories and so, without physical confirmation, we have decided that is what has been going in the garden.
Now, there is a mystery tonight.  Did Tessa get a scraped nose from another Groundhog encounter?  Or did she take a header when playing hard with Raphael?  All I know is the concierge recoiled when she inspected Tessa's mouth to check for further injuries.  Mouthcare on so many levels is overdue for Tessa (and more than likely the rest of us as well).  The concierge says she has had that on her "to do" list, so it will happen at some point so our pearly whites are as white and pearly as they can be.  I like the toothpaste.  MMMmmm chicken flavored!  Delicious!
So, may you have toothpaste to clean your mouth that agrees with your sensibilities.
And may your encounters with unexpected visitors be one of joyful pleasure and not anything else.
So, enjoy the link to whistling pigs, groundhogs, woodchucks... aka: the mysterious intruders.

Got any goodies?

Have you been here before?

Wait until the leaves fill in, then this will be a good hiding spot!
Have YOU seen the whistling pig?
