The Razorback

Hi G-Fans!
Another late post.  The concierge really needs to be more attentive to the time.  I have my beauty sleep to catch after all!
Anyway...

I couldn't decide what to write about today.  We had a lovely walk on the other side of the pond, the smells were infuriatingly intoxicating!  Ooo La La!  I almost passed out they were so excellent!  The concierge got some pictures of me doing the watoosi amidst everyone milling about, but she says she could kick herself for not making a video.  I just dropped to the ground and started doing the roll of joy.  And, it wasn't even in anything lovely like rotted mushrooms or humanoid waste products.  Only earthy pine smells with all the other trace elements mixed in...

But then, I thought, I should write about Riley....
He should get a byline on occasion....
He is my BFF after all....
So, I thought I would talk about his nickname, "The Razorback".  Perhaps you wonder why we would nickname him that.....?  Well, it has to do with the fact that he doesn't turn his head.  If he needs to look around, he whips his whole body around.  At first we thought this was amusing, until we started to realize it was because he probably has an issue with his neck.  Then we felt bad for giggling and giving him a nickname.  He likes the attention, mind you, but it still is a problem if he does because he is uncomfortable.  So now the concierge and other visitors will massage his neck and spine to give him better circulation.  He likes that a lot.  Sometimes he thinks he is a circus dog with superpowers and will leap off the back of the couch when he is excited, especially when the concierge comes home from being away (we all get a little cuckoo at that point).  A few times when he has done that he must have landed badly or twisted wrong because he has stopped all activity.  He won't go out to pee or poop, and hems and haws about eating (Very Rare!).  That is when the concierge realized a persistent issue.  Now,  he gets some pills for a few days and that seems to fix it until the next time.  That is good, life stinks when he doesn't feel well.  It makes us all a little sad.  But, we still, on occasion, refer to him as the "Razorback".  It is only with the utmost of affection.  And like I said, he likes the attention.
So, I guess that is it.
I will close for tonight.
May you have dreams of crisp lovely days with the crunch of leaves under foot.
TTFN!
-G

He was actually pretty happy on the walk today.  He just didn't know why the concierge was getting so CLOSE to him with her phone/camera.  Direct attention makes him very anxious.
A couple of best buds chillin' together.  It is getting colder out there, we are all about conservation around here!
You can almost see all of our faces.  Mine is the one behind Tessa.  Just as well, I was having a bad hair day.  Not to mention I was getting ready to drop and roll momentarily.
A little chill time.
