| It isn't even Halloween!! |
Hi G-Fans!
Sorry for the spiders, my paw slipped and sent those two pictures out prematurely! OOPS! I retracted, but for those of you who are getting the e-mail version, just disregard!
Now, to today's topics.
I had wanted to dialogue about tickling. I found it very interesting that rats have "tickle skin" and that there was such a thing as "tickle skin". Now that I know that I can tell you that Raphael has "tickle skin" in his armpits and the sides of his underbelly. That's where the concierge tickles him when he does a hind-leg face-to-face.... I believe he giggles and shivers when she does it. Riley's ribs are pretty ticklish too.... but since he is so skittish the concierge can make him crazy just by talking crazy talk. I think her voice tickles him. It turns him into a whirling dervish. Tessa has "tickle skin" on her belly and ribcage. She goes belly-up whenever a potential tickler comes near. She can't even help herself. She would rather get a belly rub than kisses on the face. Me, I love sophisticated European kisses in front of my ears and give out and receive nose pokes (I stick my nose out and bump the concierge with it and she nuzzles me back with her proboscis). I can't get enough when I am in the mood. My tickle spots, however, are my hiney and ribs. I go crazy when the concierge tickles my butt and ribs. I swirl in circles, bounce like a dolphin and then double back for more. For that matter Tessa likes a nice butt rub as does Bertie and Raphael. But overall, Bertie just likes attention, he doesn't care where the hugs and pats go, just that he gets them. And lots of them!
Now, the above picture.....!
How undignified does a dog have to be before someone steps in and protects him? Isn't there some law against such treatment and humiliation? Isn't someone out there with some authority who can put a stop to such things? Poor Harry is not a girl! AND can you SEE the BOWS??? Lavender to boot! Purple would at least be better than LAVENDER! And what is the vest all about? Is he living in the 80's....? I have seen pictures from that decade... what passed for fashion is astounding. I am hoping the concierge never fell prey to that nonsense!
So, there have it folks!
May your "tickle skin" be brushed "just-so" creating peels of laughter and a sense of joy and euphoria only a rat might understand! (See yesterday's blog for clarification, if needed!)
TTFN!
