Notes From Grace: Freedom Trails

Hi G-Fans!

Another day where I am almost tempted to complain, and still may, but for now won't.

Although we did a 'caravan' walk (we have to take two vehicles to get to where we are going), it started much later than the plan... again. All day it was sunny and bright and downright springy. By the time errands were done, cookies distributed, lunches served, second mugs of teas made and sipped it was late afternoon.... again!

And by the time we were underway, it was dark, dreary and drizzly.

AND almost some huge excitement.

While loading us up the concierge was oblivious to the Italian Greyhounds in their fancy schmancy jackets trotting in front of the house. Even though the hatchback to the Matrix was open because the concierge was being dragged by Raphael to Harry's van, we didn't jump out. We weren't thinking. By the time everyone was realizing what was going on our opportunity was lost and the concierge felt tragedy was averted. We yelled through the closed windows as we drove by them though. We got our two cents in.....!

We did a walk that brought me back to days of yesteryear.... yore... whatever.... the past....

You know there is a thing called the Boston Freedom Trail? This walk was reminiscent of the Gallows Freedom Trail. It reminded me when the four puppies on their first grown-up walk were let off the leash and went in four different directions. Showing the concierge how little all the months of training impacted those pups.... It marks the beginning of the end of "Freedom Trails" for all of us. I was not allowed my freedom today. We were rather ramped up and the going was slippery for the most part and we weren't listening very well today. It didn't help that the concierge was remembering The Great Escape either....

But, it was a walk we haven't done in awhile and was quite interesting and engaging. But, again, we were all being a little fresh. Including Harry. Raphael was being a butt too. I think the other two were as well. So, we all contributed to being difficult!

So that is why I say I could complain because I didn't get consulted concerning all the schedule changes and I didn't get the freedom today, but I won't because we were all a little wild.....

So, may you find your balance of well-behaved and wild and push it to the limits :)
