What a day!
It started out leisurely enough.
The concierge and I took our time to stroll downstairs, the boys had already been out in the balmy air that rose steadily to 50 degrees before 8 a.m... At one point the concierge noted over 60 degrees today.... it held steady around the 50s especially when the torrential downpour started and continues.
So, torrential downpours.
About that.
That was what happened this morning inside.
No, the pipes didn't burst or anything, but it seemed like the concierge's heart broke in half and leaked out all over the place. The wailing and waterworks made us really nervous. We hunkered down and tried to ignore it all.
From what I gathered from all the sobbing and garbled words that Waldina was found at the bottom of her cage this morning.
The concierge went into shock.
Daisy she might have handled a bit better as Daisy has a host of medical frailties. Waldina, on the other wing, was not displaying any evidence for concern.
Goes to show you, what is around each corner is unpredictable.
So, treat those you love with healthy doses of appreciation and affection on a daily basis. You never know when it is the last time you will see them.
May we all send a prayer of love and concern for the passing of a sweet bird.
