Hi G-Fans!
Well, we had some more flurries today, as if we didn't have enough already! I also heard there is more on the way! That Farmers Almanac really knows their stuff!
Well, the groundhog said only 6 more weeks and that was over a week ago, so we only have to tolerate a few more weeks of this...
With that shared, I have to say that I enjoyed our foray in the dark into the wooded path that leads, eventually, to the bog. We only did part of it, but it was untouched since the storm, so we forged the path. We stopped before the house with the little Jack Russell so we didn't wake up the household since those Jack Russells have no sense of decorum. They would bark at anything! There is no accounting for breeding.
Anyway.
Those workers came back today, and we thought we would have another day free from their pounding and other shenanigans. But no. And, on top of that, there was ANOTHER worker, who has nothing to do with those other workers, who came and went into the basement. He made some noise here and there, so did we, and he emerged holding some scary looking object that looked dead. It turns out it was dead. It was the thing that makes our royal domicile warm. Now we will get more warm air blown up into our room.... That is good.
And, back to those OTHER workers, the ones who keep coming back despite our protests......
I investigated their progress. There is a dreaded tub placed, but not installed. There is a spy hole that goes straight down to the basement. I could check out stuff without being monitored, that is if I was allowed to freely roam the abode.
But, no.
So, we are preparing for more snow, hoping the roof and ice don't cause a problem, and we can endure another few weeks of this before we get into mud season, my favorite!
