Hi G-Fans!
SO, another glorious fall day today AND daytime walk in the forest (although it got pretty dark on the tail end of things....).
Today's walk was relatively uneventful.
We got some snootfuls of smells here and there, but no major crisis or issues.
Yesterday is another can of worms.
Yesterday we all thought we would like to be near some ponds during our walk.
So, we picked one of our walk routes that brings us by at least one and depending on which path we choose we go by a second one too.
Which is what occurred, but not entirely due to planning.
First, let me say that we all fit into one vehicle for the walk.
Five royals and two concierges.
We got out of the royal transport without incident, for the first twenty seconds or so.
Then there was a bicycle, dog and older human.
We were about faced and shoved, unceremoniously (Bertie got a knee in the butt and Tessa had her neck "pinched and pulled"), back into the vehicle to limit our access and any possible drama.
Fairly successful according to the concierges' goals.
So, once that passed, we again were taken from the vehicle, disentangled and continued onward.
All went fairly peacefully for a bit.
Then the concierge asked Harry's concierge if she wanted to make the walk a little longer by taking a particular turn.
She declined. We did, however, take it.
Not two minutes, maybe not even a minute, after the concierge consulted Harry's concierge, we bumped right into a walker and another dog. Well, we wanted them to know who was in charge of this part of the path. The concierge said we were embarrassing, I say we were effective.
Anyway....
Harry's concierge was walking Harry and Tessa. Harry at one point during the walk slipped part of his elaborate leash set-up, but at this juncture it was Tessa who slipped her halter and bolted. But, unlike me or Raphael who would have charged at the dog and walker, she ran for the three of us who were getting off the path to let the walker and dog go by.... when the concierge grabbed Tessa's collar, she slipped that too! Oiy! But, no harm, Tessa was happy being in the middle of Bertie, Raphael and myself, so collars, halters and leashes were reapplied amidst much barking and drama by the rest of us....
I think Harry's concierge was pretty upset overall.
It was at this point that the route suggested five minutes earlier by the concierge was then taken as a precaution.
We enjoyed the additional walk, there were no further episodes following, and we made it to the royal transport without issue.
I would say it was a successful and full bodied outing.
Harry's concierge was stressed, I am pretty sure.
So, once all is safe and sound and alternate routes are secured, let go of any part you may have played in adding to the stress of the day.... It is done and gone. Doggone it :) Or Dog on it!
Anyway...
TTFN!
