Hi G-Fans!
What I want to know is -
WHAT THE HECK?
I know the humans predicted snow this weekend last week.
But, it rained yesterday.
AND RAINED!
And we were soaked.
There was no snow in the air , but there was plenty on the ground and plenty of fog.
Today.... there was some rain and then some clearing and some sun.
But, as we returned from our walk the concierge inquired if the helper had dandruff as she was seeing white flakes float randomly in front of her....
It was SNOW!
SNOW!!
The white crystallized water that drifts from the clouds.
And now we are looking at a few inches and finally breaking the record for snow accumulation in this area. Whoopee!
So, today's walk.....
It wasn't raining, although it drizzled a tad beforehand, and we actually saw sun!
The concierge wanted to try a "new" old walk because she needed to get us somewhere other than where we've been going. Parking was a challenge, but it was worked out. Mud and ice posed some challenges along with the snow from past storms. But we managed. We walked mostly dirt roads near one of our favorite ponds. We did get into some deep terrain that wasn't packed down and it was slow going and Riley was a trooper. The concierge made sure he got a pain pill when we got back.... So, no deer sightings, but deer poop that Raph and I almost scored on.... We were a split second too slow in diving on it.... so close.....
We had a couple of issues with humans with whom we set straight with barking our heads off..... the concierge hates it when we do that...... I say too bad!
It was a little person and a big person and we had to wait in the deep snow before we could get back onto the dirt road while they meandered down their driveway. (We assume).
Tomorrow I will tell you about an unexpected surprise by the concierge.... I have written enough for tonight.....
Anyway, may you find ways to manage unexpected stress in ways that are healthy....
TTFN!
-G
