48 hour shut down

Hi G-Fans!
Well, it has been 48 hours since my last entry.  You would think the concierge would make an effort to start earlier with me so I am not so in need of my royal rest and can prose away with more distinction as opposed to slothly sloppy sap.
But, whatever.
In the last 48 hours I have had a second no walk day and then a forest walk in torrential downpour (not really that severe, but the helper seems to think he was tortured in a tsunami....)
So, the helper.
The concierge has a rainy day nick name for him.
"SugarPants"
Now, you ask, "What in the world does he have a nick name like that?"
I will let the proverbially cat out of the bag...
He hates walking with us in the rain.
Hates it.
So much so the concierge has to use dirty warfare tactics to get him to walk on some days.
He is like a cat.
Doesn't like being wet.
So, today was a stretch, but it happened.  There was only a single other vehicle in the parking lot.  So we had the trails to ourselves.
Because we were deprived for two days of healthy exercise the concierge encouraged all of us to walk further than usual.
Because of that we saw a deer up close and personal.  I am not indicating that I went nose to nose with one.  But, I watched as it tried to speed away in the deep snow (less deep than yesterday, I will give you that, but still really deep snow).
So, we all watched as it moved away from the trail and up and over the hill.
It was really close.
Raphael and I raised a ruckus, but we were perplexed at the slow egress of the creature before us.
We enjoyed thoroughly sniffing and carrying on in general that is for sure.
There is so much to share yet, but the concierge is still recovering from her sniffling and sneezing problem and needs her sleep.  Not to mention she can't stay conscious at this point).
So, may you find treasured moments when you least expect them....
TTFN!
