Hi G-Fans!
Well, all we can depend on is change.... wouldn't you agree?
All the manipulations and scheduling gymnastics only to be called off due to a technicality.
The concierge has the details, when she starts going on a rant, I only hear the first few word to get the subject and the rest is like the adults in a Peanut Comic, "WaWa WaWa WaWaaaaaa". Basically, the bottom line, my afternoon is looking good. When before it looked bleak. This morning I was going to be abandoned with my posse, now there will be cavorting and revelry. I just don't get why the concierge is whining so much about it.
OK, so she is going to pay the piper on Friday morning. She said she is going to have to get up at 4:00 a.m. like before. But, SHE HAS THE AFTERNOON FREE! WITH THE HELPER!!! How great is that???
All because (we think) someone is new at their job.... or something along those lines. Misunderstandings. Humans have lots of them. Not that dogs are immune, but generally, we get the idea across consistently. You sniff my butt, I will sniff yours and we will have a greater understanding of how everyone is..... I think humans might want to consider more butt sniffing, it cuts out a lot of jabber. Just sayin'...
So, no further details until Friday for now..... I will keep you as posted as I can stand.
So, back to today. What a glorious day! Another beaut!!
We did a 7/8ths bog walk (or something like that). RIley struggled on the uphills, he has the last few times we have been, before it was the humidity, today it was because he fell trying to leap into the royal caravan yesterday. He screamed this morning and scared the concierge. Me too. But she rubbed his butt (see, it is all about taking care of our butts) and legs and then had to carry him down the stairs. After that he was stiff, but comfortable and able to motor about. Oh, btw, don't tell the concierge I told you that..... she said to tell you something else, but if nothing else, I believe in the truth of reporting....!
So, tonight all is fine and he did the walk with us and only struggled with the inclines.
We will see what tomorrow brings us.
Sophie is getting more and more comfortable (brazen) and is always striving to get higher and higher.
She seems to get the "no counter" rule. But then, she isn't able to roam freely unless someone human is around to keep an eye on her.
So, may you roll with the changes presented on a daily basis and find the joy and uplift where you can....
TTFN!

Below are some pictures of Tessa and Bertie surveying the pond that was the first departure point of their first escape adventure when they were just young'uns.....
