Hi G-Fans!
I had so many things to write about tonight and poof, gone.
The life of a royal I suppose. So many things to tend to it is hard to keep those thoughts in order.
I will say things have been a bit calmer in the kingdom since our last calamity. Bertie reports that the basement is slowing getting put back together, the dampness is under control, other items are being managed and put back in place. Bertie knows this because his new hobby is sneaking through the partially open gate and checking out whatever areas are open for inspection such as the basement, guest room, bird room or bedroom.
Usually only one or two are ever available at a time.
Also, other things assisting in the calmer atmosphere is that the concierge is starting to hit a certain stride with her out of the castle obligations and a certain rhythm is also being maintained to meet our needs.
So, all in all, spring is in the air and we are preparing for its glory:)
Today we went to the bog and it was a relatively relaxed walk. The concierge reports that we totally missed two approaching dogs that she laid eyes on before we even got a whiff and we were maneuvered out of the way of possible excitement, much to the satisfaction of the concierge. Yesterday we went to the state forest and that too was relatively peaceful, however, the smells were out of this world so we were a little spring crazy there. The evidence from the last few storms was significant. We had to jump over and through quite a few large downed pines. It was very exciting and invigorating. The concierge assisted Riley so he didn't overdo himself.
Last night while a movie was on there was a scene with thunder and lightning. Tessa didn't realized it was from the movie and curled up into a ball on the couch onto an available warm lap. She does not like thunder and lightning storms AT ALL! No one had the heart to tell her that she is a seventy pound dog who might be a bit too big for a human's lap. I don't think it would have mattered anyway. She was going to find a way to fit.
Now she seems to think it is a good idea to drape across the couch on laps every night, as she did it tonight just for the sake of getting snuggled. I prefer a sidling up snuggle. But keep that to yourself, I don't need the concierge to be hip to the fact that I actually ENJOY snuggling!
Well, I still can't remember what I was going to share tonight.
So, I will close in hopes in comes to me for another day.
May your memory be only as good as is helpful.
TTFN!
