Hi G-Fans!
I could write about a lot of things, but tonight I will tell you about raspberries.
The way I deal with a raspberry and the way Tessa deals with raspberries are two completely different events.
I am not referring to the kind of raspberries the concierge grows in the tangle mess she refers to as a garden, I am talking about the kind that can be torturous to one's health.
Let me explain.
Tessa has been switching it up as of late and I am noticing her behaving differently,
She still likes to romp and play hard and then rest with equal dedication and enthusiasm.
But,
I dunno.
Maybe it is, dare i write, maturity?
Instead of greeting the concierge at the door like a maniac with Riley and Bertie like she used to, if she is comfortably lounging, lounging she will then stay.
She can't be budged.
She will give the business to anyone daring to intrude on her rest time.
Then there are the treats.
Or toys.
Or the boys.
She has decided she is the boss of all those things.
And the boys seem to tolerate her quiet bossiness.
It brings a tear to my eyes, I thought we were so different.
But, I see a whole other side emerging lately.
It makes me so proud!
But, it does not explain her reaction to the raspberries. At all.
She will lay belly up on the couch and take raspberries for hours.
It doesn't matter if she is getting them on the belly, armpit, chin, cheek, ear or nose.
She doesn't care.
Now we have me with a raspberry.
Take Tessa's reaction and invert it.
I go crazy.
I want them to stop the second they are started.
But then I want more.
I whine and groan and wiggle and giggle.
I turn away and then request more (I don't beg).
They tickle and make me crazy (as I mentioned earlier). I can't stand loving them!
So, how come my daughter doesn't react even close to how I do?
What is wrong with her??
I swear someone slips her a chill pill every day at nap time. She is the chill champion.
For those of you uncertain about what a raspberry is....
Traditionally it is when human lips pucker up and while sticking the tongue out blowing air to make a farty sort of noise.
The raspberry I am writing about is when human lips go on skin and after puckering up they blow air out making vibrations and noise which tickles the skin.
Try it sometime.
Humans usually do it as a playful gesture on the neck, cheek or baby's belly.
Did I mention that they make me crazy?
Well, they do.
SO, I wish you an evening full of playful gestures and good natured ribbing.
TTFN!
