Hi G-Fans!
Well, where to start with my day's endeavors?
Let's start with the fact that it was another gorgeous day!
Sun, breeze and perfect temperatures.
You ask, "Yes, Grace, but was there cleaning activity?"
I can answer an emphatic, "NO!". Much to my relief and increased anxiety.
Relief that it wasn't today.
Increased anxiety because it will happen soon enough, but when?
So, for our afternoon "cookie" we enjoyed some Frosty Paws on the deck.
As you can see in the included pictures I am capable of eating my own Frosty Paws without assistance.
Bertie, Raphael and Tessa ended up needing assistance in order to enjoy theirs.
Kids.
So, today, or rather tonight there were fireworks.
None of us were happy.
Not even me.
But, Tessa was the most unhappy.
Although, I was pretty unhappy, but not for the same reason.
We did another forest walk (we did one last night and almost ran into some sketchy people. We sent the helper ahead to scope it out.... then we decided to turn around and abort the original walk mission....)
So, tonight we went.
We did a similar route with some variation to it.
Three-fourths through the walk, very near where we saw the people yesterday (only we were coming up to it from another direction) the concierge FINALLY saw to it to release me from the confines of the tether.
I scampered, as she would say, I frolicked, I cavorted....
I also stayed with everyone.
Until I smelled it.
I veered off the path abruptly, very much where the people were seen yesterday.
Before the concierge could double back and renege on the release status.
I found the source of the odor and full fledged rolled in it. A beautiful neck roll if I do say so myself.
You would have thought the concierge was related to Rumplestiltskin!
She slapped the confining tether on me and gave me a verbal lashing.
Meanwhile Raphael is trying to get some of my prize smell on him by rubbing me....
OOOh, that made matters worse for the concierge. She was hopping mad.
She said I wouldn't ever be off-leash again.
If I had rolled in horse manure or decomposing mushroom goo I don't think the punishment would be the same.
It is because it is pretty clear that it is human excrement and more than likely it was from the people we saw yesterday and they were probably taking a dump when we saw them....!
Or, I suppose they could have been doing something else.
But, we all thought there was something odd going on....
Anyhow, I had to be separate from Raphael for the remainder of the walk.
Then everyone piled into the car without me.
The concierge used mint water to get some of the disgustingness out and then finished the job in the new deck shower upon our arrival home.
At least it was only a half bath. But it was the top half which stinks....! Water in my eyes, on my brow and eyelashes, you know.....
So, I was getting the bath while the fireworks were getting heated up....
So, may you enjoy the colorful unfolding of the day's adventures....
TTFN!
