Hi G-Fans!
So, to start with, there has been more sparks and excitement here in the last twenty minutes than the whole day...
Let's begin by saying that it has been a mixture of a day. Sun. Clouds. Rain. And, in the forecast, a "wintry mix"... that has the concierge's knickers in a knot to be sure! She is really going to town with that forecast. "Wintry Mix" this, "Wintry Mix" that, and so on..... blah, blah, blah!
Now, I am wondering why I didn't see any leashes out this morning since the concierge came home so early from her first round of appointments. But leashes never appeared while the sun was shining.
No, we walked in the drizzle, in the dark, around the school.
The only excitement there was for Harry. He has a thing about the "janitor", who always seems to be taking her smoke break when we are breezing by....at all hours.....
Then the concierge passed out on top of the electric blanket cranked up high with Raphael in the Royal Boudoir..... she claims it was unintentional.... I am prone to believe her, but I can't let her slide on it either.....
So, this is where it got interesting.
Let it be known, however, I only know the details from watching from the window and hearing from behind closed doors.
Bertie came in first. Then I came in. Then Riley came in.
We got our cookies.
Raphael and Tessa, however, seemed to be busy.
They were running around the garden fence like race horses...
Then the concierge, after telling them, sweetly, that their cookies would be forfeited to others who were already in (such as myself) saw a flash dash cross the garden. The concierge suspects a bunny. But, no confirmation, ultimately, if this is the case.
After forcefully telling the two bozos to "leave it" and get in for their cookies, the concierge had to change shoes and go out into the drizzly night.
Raphael managed enough self-control, once he spied her on the warpath, to pull away from the excitement and get his hiney up to the door. He was unceremoniously crated with only a morsel reward for his efforts. I think he was lucky to get that!
Then Tessa had to be retrieved. Again, the concierge had to go outside and go down and get her.
This time there was zero reward.
She was put to bed without a morsel.
I have to say I think it is a harsh punishment.
I mean, we are dogs after all, how can we be expected to hear anything, but the pounding of blood in our ears from thrill of the chase once it is underway....?
Seriously?
On the other paw, there is the whole safety thing and obedience thing and also the bedtime/rest thing.....
So, that is it.... No treat for Tessa and I didn't get her extras....
So, may you fare better out in the world when it comes to snack and treat time than our Tessa did tonight.....!
TTFN!
