Shadow Hunting

Hi G-Fans!
I am sure I have written about my shadow hunters, and if I haven't, I am now.
Raphael is the premier shadow hunter with Tessa a close competitor.  I think Raphael thought the game up and Tessa was amenable to it..... She doesn't initiate a game of it with the same intensity and persistence that her brother does.  But don't get me wrong, she plays hard when she plays it.
So, you ask, what is shadow hunting?  You think you know?
Well, maybe you do.
The version illustrated in the included photos is a specific form of the game.
First, there has to be some sun out for it to work.  It also needs to be warm enough that there are flying insects, especially ones like dragonflies and moths.
So, instead of the dragonflies and moths being chased, Rapahel and Tessa will dart out of the weeping cherry tree like a darting fish briefly dashing from its cave or a prairie dog poking from its hole,  and enthusiastically pounce on the shadow the fluttering creature is making as it flits around the perimeter.  They look a little crazy doing it.  Because the shadow pouncing looks like they are pounding sand basically because the shadow is so small, most people or dogs don't notice these things.  This all usually involves rapid tail wagging along with growling, grumbling (and squeaking on occasion)... Tessa likes to vocalize more about it than Raphael....
The goal?
I have no idea other than to be in the moment and enjoy a rousing game of chase on a small scale....
So, may you find joy in even the smallest of endeavors and may you savor those moments with sheer abandonment!
TTFN!
