FAQs that I am willing to answer...

Q:  What does the "Ch." in your name mean?

A:  CH signifies that I am certifiable royalty.  In human terms it stands for "Champion", which means I went through lots of poking and prodding, bathing and primping, driving and whining, and ultimately lots of winning.  I like winning.

Q:  What are you?

A:  I will overlook the uninformed, impolite and crass nature of the question and give you an answer.  I am an elite breed of dog.  My ancestors all hail from Italy and I personally come from Canada.  I am, however, a U.S. citizen.   I belong to all the right registries and clubs.  I am a Spinone.

Q:  What kind of clubs or registries?

A:  I belong to the American Kennel Club and am a recognized Champion, I am a registered Canine Good Citizen and I was Therapy Dog International Certified for a few years before I ended that association. 

Q:  How did you get your Championship, Canine Good Citizen status and Therapy Dog International registration?

A:  Rigorous testing, lots of classes and practice, practice, practice.

Q:  Why did you end your Therapy Dog International Association?

A:  Well, I tired of people expecting me to act like a Labrador Retriever or Golden Retriever.  I do not appreciate people expecting me to become fast friends with them without proper introductions, sniffing and formalities that should be required in any social situation.  I want to know what you like and don't like, if you have been anywhere you shouldn't have been or somewhere I would like to go and I want to know what your emotional state is....  There is much to know before anyone should assume a casual intimacy with me!  Now, some of my kids wouldn't agree with me on that and will lean and lounge on anyone and then others will take it to another level of testing.  So it is a personal thing.

Q:  How many kids do you have?

A:  I gave birth to ten vigorous, healthy babies who are all doing well and are very diverse in personality.  Five are colored similar to me and five are various shades of brown roan.  But I think they are all BEAUTIFUL!!  I have several grandchildren and may have some great grandchildren in the next year or two.  We'll see.....
