Hello!
Well last night was a spectacular night!
The summer breeze kept the bugs out of my bangs and beard. It ruffled my wisps! The tree frogs, crickets and birds were all chirping. The path was filled with toads gathering the last of the warm day sun from the sandy ground. We left for our "bog walk" fairly late, but there was still light. As we rounded the corner to the second bog the concierge sucked in wind (she was being quietly excited). So I was on alert. I knew something was around, but with the dusky light I only had a faint scent floating in the air. We walked 3/4 around the bog with the concierge and her friend focused on something in the middle. I looked every so often, but with all the other distractions evening brings, I never saw anything. And then, bam! Two deer in the center of the bog. They moved ever so slightly and then I saw them. Unfortunately I was on a leash so couldn't investigate further. I kept my eyes on them for awhile but then it got so dark I had other things to manage like rustling bushes, a runner and two walkers, fish jumping at bugs on the water's surface.... Oh, and some bats too! What a busy night! Too bad Harry missed it. Maybe next time!
That's it for now.
"Til next time!
