Hi G-Fans!
If you are squeamish you might not want to read on....
Today the unimaginable happened.
The concierge threatened weekend after weekend, but to no account.
So, I was comfortable in my assumption that this weekend would go the same.
WRONG!
SOOOO WRONG!
First of all, there were no mad dashes of the concierge vacating the royal abode.
She stayed put.
While staying put she feverishly wrote out some lists.
There was a lot of ink on that paper.
(Yes, she still uses paper for her lists.... don't think less of her for it....)
Initially, she puttered from here to there without much direction.
But then, despite the fabulous weather, she hunkered down to tackle a lot of piled up loose ends.
So, there is something that, to me, is not a big deal.
Just make sure I have my cozy beds, yummy treats and on-time breakfast and dinner and I am good.
Humans seem to need so much more...
So, hour after hour there was shredding, shuffling and dumping....
So, again, I thought the coast was clear....
Not so....
It happened late afternoon, after the sun went behind the clouds and it started getting a bit chilly.
I was kidnapped first and had to endure the torture before anyone else.
Typical.
So now I smell like oranges.
Unlike Harry, I don't like oranges.
I don't want to smell like oranges.
I want to smell like I did before I smelled like oranges.
And Bertie and Tessa smell like green tea and ginger and some other smells...
Raph smells like that and like pear (the shampoo bottle ran out before he did...!)...
And... our leashes, collars and harnesses were bathed!!1
Where will it end?
After our baths we ate, then we went to the forest for a nice long walk. We took an unexpected detour that was loaded with turkey scent in order to avoid some human walkers that I didn't know about until afterwards. The good smelling walk made the baths a little less traumatic. I will add an additional comment on the baths... I will admit that the new gizmo makes the experience so much less stressful. Warm water and less time being sudsed up make for a better experience....!
So, when the unthinkable sneaks up and clocks you over the head, may your helmet be secure and manage the blow.
TTFN!
-G
