Events beyond our control....

Hi G-Fans!
Another muggy one!
The concierge was able to keep us cool, calm and collected for most of the day.
Raphael was a bit over the top on our walk today.  He was embarrassing the concierge when he acted like the Tasmanian Devil when two mature adults walked by on our way to the bog.  I was a little bit of an instigator, but half-heartedly.
I really dragged on the way home tonight.  My royal heart was just not in it tonight.  I even complained a little and hung back.  I kept pace with Riley so he wouldn't feel left out.  I guess even princesses can have "off" days....  The concierge wonders if it is the humidity or if my joints are a little out of sorts.  I wasn't in the mood to talk about it, so she is watching me like a hawk, and I have to say it is a little creepy, and yet, I like it.
So, I wrote that I would update you on the concierge's last week.
It is nothing major, but it continues to be the rhythm of life for her lately.
Two weeks ago the concierge noticed the toilet wasn't working quite right.  The handle wasn't doing what it should.  She kept taking the lid off and making adjustments while muttering to herself.  Finally, it was determined that the handle and related parts needed replacement, which was done without ceremony and worked fine immediately.
So then, the concierge kept noticing the shower handle wasn't  doing what it should.  It kept rotating further and further around.  The concierge did not want another swimming pool in the basement (I don't know why, it was great the first time, and in this heat an indoor pool would be nice!).... So, after debating her options (according to her, she really needs to replace the whole bathroom...) she emailed a plumber to see if it could be fixed Wednesday morning because she unexpectedly had time available that morning.  The morning before the 4th.....  He wasn't available until next week.  So, there was a little prayer and a hope that next week would be soon enough.
Then, the concierge was doing her rounds Tuesday.  The car sounded fine.  Until lunchtime and then it sounded like a drag racing engine at lunch.  All of the sudden.  Without warning.
So, the free morning on Wednesday made the repair to the muffler possible along with an oil change and tire check.  So that was done in a timely manner according to the concierge.
That pesky noisy holiday brought more peskiness.  At 11:00 p.m. the concierge discovered the bathroom leak had gone to the level that required the shut down of the house water - inconvenient!
Needless to say, the concierge was not happy and very upset and not very snuggly or pleasant to be around.
Again, interventions occurred and the water was up and running before noon on Friday.   So although the concierge was not starting her day with a shower, she was able to take one when she came home.  So, although a process, not the end of the universe.
Bad news for me and the gang because then the house was cleaned.  Hrmph.
So, good news, the house has water, no leaks going into the basement, the car won't be mistaken for a street dragster and the concierge won't be trying to take my spot in the yard for pooping.
All in all a productive week and a half.  Oh - and the concierge worked a four day week instead of five.  That is huge!
Ok - that is plenty for a Sunday night.
Last thing that is on my mind.... It is a year this month that I started my blog.... isn't that something?
May you handle the hurdles in life with your own grace :)
TTFN!

Chillin' in the kitchen.....

The gang all lined up!

Raphael cooling off

The concierge took this on Friday.  By the time she had her camera out it had dropped from 107 degrees to 105 degrees.... She said it was H-O-T!!!
