Hi G-Fans!
Well, we had an interestingly boring Saturday. The concierge, on the other hand, had a fairly busy, bustling and involved Saturday. The humidity continues to cling to us like a mantle of suffocatingly damp cotton puffs. The concierge makes sure we are staying in to be cool. I don't think I am tolerating this weather like I used (the concierge is saying the same I might add). I am dragging at the tail end of our walks even though we are going when the heat is much decreased.
Tonight we went to the full bog walk without incident. The sunset was radiant and intriguing. The concierge and company stopped frequently to keep watch on the changes of colors and shapes of the clouds. The air was so thick with dampness that visibility was affected and we could see the air.
Although we had a bit of thunder early in the afternoon, the concierge stayed out in the minimal drips of rain to weed, plant and arrange some herbs and flowers. The heat seems to be melting some plants and making a jungle out of the rest. There are vines overtaking everywhere in the yard. This makes for good cover when we want to be stealthy and use our cloak of invisibility.
The concierge went out this morning and we were all pretty sure she ditched us yet again. But, she wasn't gone for a long long time, only long enough for us to get a bit of our beauty winks in.... when she returned she smelled of maple bacon(!), strangely familiar people, bread and honey soap. She said one of her stops was the farmers market and that was where a cacophony of smells were incurred. She also said she ran into our grandma and grandpa unexpectedly so that is the the unexpected familiar smell. And after her return she did not leave us for the remainder of our day.
And, the best part, she was too hot to vacuum or clean the floors or couches!! And since she is waiting to have the dryer fixed she couldn't clean the beds. We have another day of not smelling that horrible geranium cleaner that she thinks is so excellent, or the rug powder (which we all tend to rub into), or that almond smelling stuff (I actually kind of like that one) and I will admit that she uses a peppermint smelling one that Raphael, Tessa, and Harry will lick off the appliances because they like it so much.
But still, our signature scent is best.
Just sayin'.
Bertie was doing a GQ thing yesterday, so I have included some pictures, I will include some of tonight's sunset tomorrow.
May your life contain photo ops that allow you to be caught in the best light:)
TTFN!
