Contrasting walks

Hi G-Fans!
Well, the pictures from yesterday finally made their way to my designated destination.  Now for today's, I guess that will be for your purview tomorrow.  Technology can be tricky.
So, last night in my drowsy state I indicated that we had a challenging walk to the bog.  We did.  Today's walk was peaceful, calm with pleasant temperatures, delightful scents at Myles Standish State Forest.
Two walks couldn't be more different and the same all at once!  The bulk of last night's walk was peaceful, calm and with pleasant temperatures along with some good scents.  However, part of the walk was harrowing, intense and dramatic.
We did our usual route.
As we neared the entrance to the wooded area preceding the bog someone had a black dog on a leash.  Just sitting.  So, we waited for them to move along.  And waited.  Finally they moved on down the street and we suspect the black dog was getting trained.  As we began to move forward Harry's concierge heard pounding paws on the pavement behind her.  We turned and two boxers who live down the street and have been anxious to get in our faces were barreling in on us.  We tried to retreat but they kept on us and frothing at the mouth, lunging at us, barking and in attack mode (which, in the last five years, every attack we have endured have been by boxers and they have gone way out of their way to jump us).  Overall we were fairly calm all things considered, we were pretty darn good!  My concierge screamed when she saw them bee-ling to Harry and Raphael hoping to startle them into stopping, but upon reflection we think that might have stimulated them further.  We aren't sure.  As the humans screeched for the bad dogs to "GO HOME" they tried to move us towards the wooded area.  The bad dogs kept taking turns at our three groupings of leashed dogs.  Riley wasn't making it easier because he kept lunging at the dogs throwing my concierge off balance and someone went between her legs so there was a leash twisted up with her legs.  Neighbors started coming out, but no one made a move to assist, and one neighbor in particular incensed my concierge further as she was envisioning shredded bodies and bloodied messes, he stood at the end of his driveway smirking and smelling of brew.
Once we were across the street the concierge gave the leashes all over to her friend and told him and Harry's concierge to walk into the woods.  Now mind you, we were already across the street and at the entrance and the two nasty dogs kept coming after us.  Well, I guess "you don't mess with the Ol' Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with" my concierge's brood!  She went on the attack, crossed the street and chased those bad dogs down the street to herd them to their home yelling like a crazy loon for them to "GO HOME"!  THis confused those boxers and they began to wonder how crazy my concierge might be and started to go back in the direction of their home.  At which point the smirking stinky neighbor told my concierge to go into the woods and to back off.  OOOooh.  I wouldn't want to be that guy!  The concierge kept it together though, so she could be a good example for us, even though we were hidden down the path at this point...  She told the smirking stinky neighbor that those boxers were chasing us down and not letting up and had crossed the street (which he knew because he was standing several feet away watching it all unfold).  He stated, again, that "the dogs (meaning us) are in the woods" and to leave it alone.  Then the smirking stinky neighbor's wife, who was walking up her drive and had a leash in hand, nicely told the concierge that she had called the owners.  At which point the concierge thanked her and retreated to the woods since the dogs were near other gawking neighbors lining the street... at least 5-7 in total of onlooking unhelping gawkers...
What a ridiculous ordeal.
The concierge is a bit embarrassed about shrieking, but she thought it was the way to go, but wished it hadn't been how it went down.  She laments that Cesar Milan would not have resorted to raising his voice or having difficulty with the situation.  She is very aggravated by this.
So, we make the best of it and went off to Myles Standish tonight and had a lovely  uneventful walk and the concierge spotted four more Lady Slippers :)  That makes her happy.
I have included more pictures of Iris and Poppies that were from yesterday, and tomorrow I will share today's pictures with you.
May your experiences leave you feeling fulfilled and invigorated.
And confident in each step you take.
TTFN!

The concierge planted this poppy plant two years ago and thought it died last year as it was pretty dead looking.  These are the first flowers since planting it:)

I don't think the concierge feels that the photos are doing them justice.  The colors are so much more vibrant that the photos seem to show.
