Narrow Escape!

Hi G-Fans!

I had a narrow escape today.  Unfortunately Raphael, Tessa and Harry can't say/bark the same.

I knew it was coming.

I watched the concierge bring bucket after bucket of warm water out.

Some plain, some soapy.

I saw the towels.

I saw the shampoo bottles.

And I want you to know that dogs DO count.  I have written about this before and I want to be sure you know that.

When two dogs have been washed, three dogs are in the house (home base) and there are two dogs left in the yard and two buckets of water left, it is pretty good odds that one of those two dogs will be getting a bath.

I did the math.

I beat the odds.

Harry did not.

He was bath #3.

Although, I will report that I did get a facial, so I had a micro bath.  I did not like it.

You would never know that I used to be bathed weekly so I could attend shows.  I act like I am allergic to water.

I also need to report that we each had a manicure.

FINALLY!

Our need for spa treatment was so bad that Bertie, Raphael and Tessa lined up independently to get their nails done.  RIley was snagged first and was caught unsuspecting and I went last and made a deal out of it.  And so should I.  There was no appropriate ambiance to get my nails done or any other spa or beauty treatment.

I will also report that the interloper that is staying made a scene that we all enjoyed watching.  He didn't know who he was dealing with.... he made fangs at the concierge when he realized she was restraining him to cut his nails.  She doesn't tolerate that sort of thing and let him know on four successive episodes just that.  He must be slow.  He showed fangs four times.  Four times she firmly set boundaries and then had to resort to crating him because she was starting to lose her cool and that would be bad.  We don't think he got the message.

That is bad.

We will see what happends next, I will let you know.

So... may you accept graciously and understand wisely that proffered services might not be preferred but that they are helpful....
