Hi G-Fans!
I write tonight conflicted.
Am I happy? Yes.
Am I disgruntled? Yes.
Did I love the sunny spring day? Yes!
Am I irritated? Yes.
Am I ready for bed? Yes
Did I have a good day? Yes. No.
Am I dreading tomorrow? I cautiously answer, "No".
Today started like some previous Saturdays by writing the blog for the day before because of the concierge pass-out factor.
The pass-out was so bad she spilled scalding hot tea on her PINK pajama top!
So she had to change.
Unfortunately, she chose a PINK replacement! Aye yi yi!
If she has tea on the couch from this day forward it has to go in a "go-cup".
Reduction in harm.
Today started innocently and leisurely enough.
Tea and cereal in the sun (for the concierge)
Lots of outside sniffing and hanging.
Sitting on the couch with Snagglepus and the concierge.
But once the motor for the concierge was turned on, we were toast. All those weeks and months of scent branding and layering went up the vacuum hose! Into the washing machine! Down the drain!
Walls were washed, appliances shined, beds put out to air, powder sprinkled, dust bunnies gathered...
The list is endless!
The good news is that we needed to put on our flea and tick protection today, so no bath!! One bullet dodged. And no bath tomorrow either, the treatment has to be on 48 hours before bathing happens... so bullet number two dodged.
This will be helpful to re-spread the scenting accents when we start without a bath!
The concierge wanted to keep cleaning, but it was getting late and we still needed to walk. We were waiting for everyone to convene. Everyone seemed to have issues in getting here. So the concierge cleaned on!
When she took a lunch break she sat outside in the sun.
I sat respectfully while she mowed on the turkey sandwich. I LOVE turkey!
Bertie and Tessa got a little too close and needed to be reminded of personal space.
I thought for sure the concierge would succumb to the Spinone Mind Meld. Nope.
I must be slipping.
Either that or she really didn't want to share X 5. I KNOW if we were two gals on our own, there would be turkey morsels adorning my lips and beard.
She had the audacity to give me a turkey breath kiss to add insult to insult!!
And then she made a comment about me being fresh and barking too much and not "getting my butt in the house" so I wouldn't bark at the neighbors" and get everyone excited. I take offense to her saying I am fresh. I did quiet down and come in as requested, eventually.....
Our walk danced on the edge of twilight. We made it back to our chariot in time for natural daylight, a little before 8 p.m.
Now there's a conflicting issue!
Walk - YES! It was excellent! Good smells, sun still shining, temperatures comfortable. And we walked for nearly two hours.
But then that made dinner REALLY LATE!
So as usual my digestion needs assistance... I do hope there are some extra cookies being handed out before I retire to the Royal Chambers.
So, you can see why the day might be a mixed bag.
So, may you have joy in doing what you should be doing.
TTFN!
-G
